    Frequently Asked Questions
    What is web hosting?
Web hosting is an online service that allows you to publish your website files onto the internet. So, anyone who has access to the internet has access to your website. In practice, it usually refers to the service you get from a web hosting provider like Stromonic.com. While you can theoretically host an actual server for your website at home, relying on a web hosting service provider offers lots of benefits.

    How does web hosting work?
In summary, companies like us rent out services and technologies to host your websites on the internet. Once you’ve chosen your domain name and signed up to a hosting plan, then your website is accessible on the internet. When you use web hosting services, your web host is responsible for making sure your server is up and running. Not only that, but it is also a hosts job to prevent any security breaches and store all your files, assets and databases onto the server. If you choose Stromonic.com to host your website, we offer many other services to enhance and protect your site.

    What is cPanel for hosting?
cPanel is a management platform that acts as the control center for all activities related to the hosting experience. From creating FTP users and email addresses to adding more domains and creating MySQL databases, cPanel offers an abundance of choices, options, and features that grant you absolute control over the web hosting experience.

Can I upgrade my package later?
You can always upgrade your package through your Stromonic Client Area. Upgrading is a quick process, and there is no downtime. If you register more domains or need to use your account to host more websites, upgrading your package to EverCloud Plus or EverCloud Pro web hosting can be done in a few clicks. Once you have upgraded your plan and paid the invoice, you can begin adding more domains immediately.

What is TransMail - instant transactional emails?
Transactional emails are our unique in-house developed business email hosting service, which comes with guaranteed and instant delivery for your emails. This email service can be easily integrated into your website via SMTP details. Our email services are mostly preferred to use to send order confirmation emails, email verification, OTP emails, etc. Our TransMail is included in our all plans worth $99/month - free of charge.

I already have web hosting, can I switch my web hosting to you?
Yes, our web hosting services comes with free website migration. Our site migration specialists will hand-perform the transfer of your website files from your existing web hosting provider to your new web hosting account. You will simply have to provide a few details about your current web hosting account.

No. But here are a few users who are banned on LET. They act within rules here after getting banned on LET. But, if they repeat their acts here, they'll surely get the same outcome.

I believe it is the other way round. LET is all encompassing.

As long as community members keep within the rules of this community, they are allowed here.
What people do on other sites is not our main focus. There could be many reasons why a community member has been banned on other sites.

And where should we draw the line? Should we ban people for downloading "Linux ISOs" from other sites?
We manage this site, and this site alone.

  • @ionut said: Is LES a refugee place for banned LET?

Not really because some of those who are banned or were banned on the OGF never actually "left" that place and is usually lurking with another account :)

But let's not talk about that here.

If anyone misbehaves here, by going against the rules here, people will know what to do and obviously they'll be dealt with accordingly.
