Hello

Since 90% of our clients prefer to use Plesk rather than another panel, we are purchasing all our licenses from Plesk resellers.

Apparently, Plesk is charging more expensive than these guys for the only reason that they provide the support for their software. Going through the reseller usually means no support available in case of an issue.

Or the reseller would simply act as a forwarder between the customer and plesk Support?

We don't usually require support if not at all, most of the issues are easily dealt with but from time to time we would like some deeper technical information that Plesk forums will not be able to respond to.

There is absolutely no point in applying to become Partners when resellers exist, they get the licenses at so much cheaper, even cheaper than Partners unless you operate 30000 licensed servers.

We Currently use WebsoftSolus for licenses, the Web Admin VPS version comes at 6.99 Euro/mo but that reseller seems more like a ghostship as they never update their site or bother replying to tickets ( Have one open for 5 days now )

Cplicense.net are also some of the cheapest but they are not a EU company or something I would go with. Any other license supplier can be advised?

As part of a passive network monitoring project for a US non-profit (see my sig and follow links for details), IPv4 address assignment diversity is one of the important attributes considered for hosting selection.

We're always on the lookout for low-cost VMs that will have an IPv4 address assignment in a /8 we don't currently have a presence in.

Requirements and resource minimums are pretty modest:

KVM is preferred, but LXC/OpenVZ/dedi/other might be considered.

512 MB of RAM

1 CPU

10GB disk of any type

Minimal traffic, the equivalent of an unlimited 10 Mb/s Ethernet would be fine.

Ability to remote boot/reboot/re-install/VNC (not with a Java app for the love of all things holy).

A recent version of a standard Debian template required.

At least one IPv6 address desired, but not required.

Payment via PayPal is a must.

Either monthly or yearly billing is fine.

Ability to create contact/sub-accounts preferred.

Provider with a public record of hosting services of at least 1 year.

If you can offer something like the above with an IPv4 address assignment NOT within these /8's, then feel free to post an offer or PM a follow up:

2, 5, 23, 31, 35, 37, 38, 41, 45, 46, 50, 51, 52, 62, 63, 64, 66, 69, 70, 72, 74, 75, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 87, 89, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 103, 104, 107, 109, 114, 116, 128, 129, 130, 132, 135, 138, 139, 141, 142, 143, 144, 145, 147, 149, 150, 151, 152, 154, 156, 157, 158, 159, 161, 162, 163, 165, 167, 169, 170, 173, 174, 178, 181, 185, 188, 190, 192, 193, 194, 195, 197, 198, 199, 203, 204, 207, 208, 209, 212, 213, 216, 217

And thanks, but we already have plenty in 0/8, 10/8, 127/8, and other fun places. :-) We don't generate much traffic except for system management so we should be relatively support and hassle free customers.

Terms:

License must be directly from Blesta.com

License must have been purchased more than 90 days ago

License must have valid support and updates still

Payment via PayPal, UK Bank Transfer, Credit Card, Crypto (Maybe?)

I will need an invoice to document to purchase

This isn't a big deal as more than likely in Nov there will be a big sale and I'll jump on then but I thought I'd ask.

And before you ask, yes I did sell my old license for closer to $110 in todays money. Buy high sell low, right?

Hi,
I'm looking for a VPS with the following requirements:

Linux KVM
2+ vCores
8+ GB RAM
1+ Gbps
2+ TB/month bandwidth
<13 €/$ per month, annual payment is fine
reliable (duh)
payment in cryptocurrency

Something like Netcup's VPS 1000 G10 would be perfect, I already use a few of them, but they don't accept cryptos.
I found pq.hosting, but according to the reviews the service is horrible. A Linux 8 instance from Time4vps would be ok, but the 50% offer is for one purchase only and I need many.
HostHatch's NVMe 8 GB? On their website it's not clear if they accept cryptos. I asked them about it, I'm waiting for an answer.
deinserverhost.de? fastpipe.io? Do you know them? Are they good?

I intend to buy many instances in the next few weeks, so special offers are welcome.

6GB RAM. 8GB+ ideal

Anywhere in the world, but west coast USA (e.g. Los Angeles, San Jose, Fremont, Seattle, etc) is best.

Not a 10-year-old Xeon processor

Ideally <$10/month, but flexible if it's a very good provider.

By "reliable" I mean a host that has been in business for a long time, isn't just one person running it in their free time, has quick support response times for critical issues, posts notifications about network/server outages, and catches server downtime before I do.

I've used Hetzner Cloud in the past and they were good, but I'm interested in other opinions.

I found PHP-Friends and their pricing seems unusually good? They're in Germany rather than USA, but their "vServer S SSD G3 AMD" has 2 dedicated cores, 10GB RAM, 80GB NVMe, guaranteed IO performance, for €6.71 with a 12-month contract (ex VAT). I emailed their support asking if they speak English (to see how fast they reply) and they replied in less than 2 minutes. I've seen positive posts about them on this forum - would you recommend them?

So here's something different... Does anyone know of any hosting-related coffee mugs that I can get my hands on? I've only been able to find the above Porkbun mug at the moment, but would like to expand my collection.

My wife and I have a lot of mugs... and we're always looking for more interesting ones. (I also need to justify adding another mug rack). Shut up... I know we have too many... you idle servers, I idle mugs. Moving on....

Anyways -- if you know of any hosts that sell mugs as merch or if I can reach out to any hosting companies for this, please shoot me some links and let me know! Looking forward to expanding my collection! Cheers!

My budget is a maximum of 100EUR (PL VAT 23% included) per month, I would prefer to avoid the setup fee (that's the only thing that holds me back with ordering OVH Rise-1).

Hi all, I am looking for a good storage VPS for personal backups. I am mainly interested in storage VPSes, but if a regular backup provider would work, I am open to those. So far, the best offer that I've found is the Lobster Unlimited Expanding Storage Plan from Servarica, which is $10/month for 2 TB plus 3 GB/day (= 1 TB/year). I also found Jottacloud, but their upload speeds are quite slow from here (US east coast). Any of the other backup providers that I've found either don't support backing up data stored on a NAS or don't support encryption/rclone.

I am looking for offers around $10/month but can go a little bit higher if necessary. Currently I am estimating my backup size at 1.8 TB, so I would prefer 3 TB+ unless the storage is increased periodically like the Servarica VPS.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I'm currently using dacentec for my RTO server needs, primarily focused on older servers. They are mostly being used for dev servers.

Anyway, I'm starting to wonder if there is another budget RTO dedicated server provider? I have a few servers I'm currently backing up, but the data not super critical (more of an annoyance if something goes sideways).

Does anyone have other affordable RTO dedicated server companies in mind?

I'd prefer Rent-to-own, 32GB + RAM, Windows & Linux boxes, and 2TB drives. I know the price of dacentec is going to be hard to beat, but I'm just curious if there is anyone else I should be considering for a second location... I am also currently using Joe's Data Center for some dedicated servers, but they aren't rent-to-own.

Please note: I'm not really interested in buying them on ebay and tossing them in a colocation space at this time, although I do understand the advantages of that route.

I need someone to do a bit of paid PHP work, the original dev folded.

It is a one page landing/email form that is 7.2 compatible and I was wondering if it is worth my while upgrading it to 8.1 compatibility.

It is 230 lines of code and potentially would like to:

a.) upgrade to 8.1 and add the remote IP address to the email form data.

and depending on complexity/cost:

b.) filter the form submission against either Clean Talk or Stop Forum Spam.

Timeline is pretty flexible.

PM for further info.

So, with all the sales going on, let's try something different. I'd be looking for ~250GB storage that MUST BE in OVH RBX and be able to make use of the internal Gbit connection for nightly backups.

I do not need an IPv4, a single NAT port for SSH would be appreciated though.
IPv6 should be fully working, a single address is sufficient.

Also would like to go with someone who has the underlying system somewhat secured against SPOF by running some raid-z/5/6 or better and gives proper notice in case something happens, to be able to react before rebuilts and fscks kick in etc. (while it's only rotating nightly backups, often it could be useful to still take something out)

it's gonna be around 20-30GB traffic daily, usually in one spike around 5 am...
probably 1core 1GB is far more than enough, still breathing room in ressources usually also helps the host, so not interested in 128MB blabla, KVM please.

budget $25 yearly, would like a testrun to verify that indeed the internal connection is able to burst over 500 Mbps.

with all that said... anyone renting out things like that?

Yea... I doubt anyone would, maybe yet another lowendrama who knows

I have working on porting 2 desktop environments to Fedora, and then build an entirely independent OS called Ultramarine, here have a look if you are interested...: https://ultramarine-linux.org/

Specs would be like this
2 cores
2 or 4GB of ram
100GB or higher
Location can be anywhere, but I would prefer Singapore (again not required)
Server will be served as a mirror and the website itself

And great thanks !
