@sonic said: @poisson made me love NexusBytes! I know this brand long time ago but I didnt care because I already had ~10 idle boxes.
After follow @poisson LEBRE site, I think I will have to get new idle box from NexusBytes soon!
And put it to good use
Waiting for this exactly
Not gonna happen anytime soon boss . Intro promos are loss leaders, a discount for those who took a chance on a no name brand.
MT promos are minimum (literally) profits.
Current promo offer is $0.75 more with the annual payment coupon, plus the free backup I believe still has quality bang for the bucks. Plus I have 0 intentions of Deadpooling anytime soon :P
@sonic The current SSD promo is also very, very good compared to other providers. I think only hostdoc currently has better specs than this but hostdoc is also more expensive.
Plenty of fast storage and bandwidth would make it perfect for a reverse proxy
How do you handle DMCA notices? Do you terminate as soon as a notice comes in?

If it includes illegal distribution of copyrighted material via torrenting, yes.
If it is due to an end user abuse (i.e you are reselling services/offering hosting etc.), those instances, I will work with you .
As I said on the tldr; don't be a dick, don't get me in trouble. We will always be happy family

It's a mirror of an imageboard. Copyrighted material is mostly included, but it's usually stuff from people that don't mind having it reposted online (you won't find entire length movies, or the latest games, or kmspico). However, there is the occasional hothead sending bogus DMCA notices because "reeee this image hurts my feeling".

Bogus copyright claims are taken with a grain of salt and will be disputed. If it is legit, then I will have an issue .
@seriesn I was going to open a ticket to ask this, but thought it may benefit the community also perhaps. These VPS come with Blesta, which is amazing! I noticed that you offer free shared hosting. If I install Blesta on the free shared hosting, could I use the free license that came with the VPS, for the life of the VPS plan, of course?
EDIT: My reason for asking is so that I don't have to set up a web server on my precious VPS, and offload that task to the hosting instead.

I never thought about that! You've just given me ideas (assuming that @seriesn) is fine with it. It's pretty interesting to see the kinds of ideas that different people can come up with.

I wonder if softaculous is available on the free shared hosting, just to make the whole thing as simple as possible, for that extra premium potassium feeling. I feel like for the $4/month I'm spending, with the freebies and little perks here and there, it's unbeatable value IMO
EDIT: Anyone who paid yearly, and is Windows-inclined, would have the best possible potassium output for their monies/potatoes.

Well, sounds like if all these could be done, they will form part of the Family Perks Exclusive Program.
@dahartigan said: @poisson Well, I have an update! I just logged into my client area and noticed that the free hosting I ordered earlier was now ready.
Softaculous is definitely installed!
The Blesta license from the VPS is accepted!
The potassium factor of this deal has just gone exothermic.
Wow. It has never occurred to me to integrate the Nexus Bytes free shared hosting with the VPS services. I think @seriesn is really proactive in acting on feedback. I mean even though there is meaningfully no cost difference, he technically could have stuck to keeping them separate, but hey guess what, you are not buying only an exothermic potassium server but also customer service that's powerful enough to rival a nuclear power plant.
Nexus Bytes is turning out to be a real bespoke boutique VPS provider in the low end market.

Haha! Looks like every time I fall asleep, someones creative juice starts flowing
Free service is for anyone and everyone, it is full-fledged and close to a lot of so-called "budget" hostings or to a certain extent, slightly better. With that said and done, do remember, this is a free hosting server, it will be slightly crammy.
I am cooking some other stuff for Christmas, that should give one the ultimate bang for the bucks in my opinion

Slightly crammy is how I like my free hosting :-) The fact it comes with softaculous impresses me, for a free service, that's a very convenient bonus. It just made sense to install Blesta there, so I can genuinely idle my 2 VPSs :-)
Looking forward to your Christmas goodies, I can smell you cooking up a fresh batch of crack potassium all the way over here.

BF/CM - Buyer Beware. Conduct your own due diligence on the sustainability of the deals presented here as well as the provider's track record.

I bench YABS 24/7/365 unless it's a leap year.
Another tempting offer. both the Basic-SSD-MT and the NVMe-SSD-Simple one. Have one replace my virtually idle Hetzner Cloud server.
