Depends on the method used, ipref3 gets around 800mbit send and 300 receive, while a single-threaded wget goes between 8 MB/s and 23 MB/s
west coast usa to Germany is never going to be great though, latency is 150ms - 185ms

I just did another test to hetzner FSN this time and it peaked around 450 mbit using wget but slows down and averages around 8MB/s again.

I just finished setting it up as a secondary Borgbackup target for my servers in SGP. (USE borgmatic)
I can lose/cancel any one of my backup servers now. 16 MB/s network is plenty for borgbackup runs with auto,zstd,8 compression setting. (i.e latency from sgp/EU)
Multiple inexpensive storage servers beats a single premium priced storage. ?
