  • Why does the processor on the VPS say it's an Epyc processor when the first post say's it's a consumer Ryzen processor?

    Quoted from OGF

    SpeedBus said:
I believe since CPU-Passthrough isn't enabled by default, KVM masks the CPU as the next nearest CPU (ie, EPYC in this case).

You can drop in a ticket and ask for "Enable CPU-Passthrough" -- it will take 1 reboot, but after that the correct CPU name (and some more CPU Flags) will be displayed/available

It is a Ryzen 9 5950X, just KVM masks it to the closest available CPU (ie, Epyc in this case) when host-passthrough isn't set :)

Host-Passthrough can be enabled for free, just drop in a ticket and it'll be done in say 5-15 mins :)

I've been a happy customer of CrownCloud since 2019 and recently moved on to this HV (was one of the first clients on this node in fact).
Performance has been great and glad I am continuing my service with CrownCloud!

    and

Again very happy with this new node and am also extremely pleased with the customer support (fast and friendly).

For Transparency I am also posting this on LEB.

Mod Edit: Removed images as per request to avoid confusion.

My Sincere apologies, I submitted the wrong VPS benchmarks. The one in the previous post was from drServer and the image below is from the CrownCloud VPS for comparison.
