I use my own domains (personal.com, business.com, junk.com) and wrote a php interface on localhost to cpanel API on a simple shared hosting account, to manage individual forwarders which I create for every single service. config, addresses, usernames/passwords, notes for each login is stored in a json, locally, sync'd with…

I have 7 shared accounts with them, probably the most stable and ttfb is better than average compared to other hosts im with. Also no stupid domain limits or restrictions like ability to add/edit TXT records.
-
nano in chrome, ublock in ff, built in blocker in opera
-
I probably agree, but they still knowingly offered something that is unsustainable
-
Which, they knew before they offered it. However I would think the vast majority of its users would assume it would remain free, so sign up and used their services. I dont have a horse in this race, but I would like it if these offers were a bit more transparent, an example would be "free for 5 years, if you use more than…

Let's be real here. Sony, nvidia, AMD and co were fully aware that they would face stock shortages and create the scalper market immediately after launch, yet they decided to launch them anyway. These companies have no interest in solving the "problem" - it wont benefit them. Scalpers benefit Sony, because they will resell…
-
IMO, they would have done well to grandfather in discounts as best they can, or adjust those discounts for potentially 0% profit margin where the costs truly do exceed the revenue. This thread could have gone a very different way if they had, with praise and recommendation. Those customer on the larger discount would have…
-
Could well be true, I have no comment regarding reseller hosting. I only have their shared hosting, in 6 locations. I also have shared hosting accounts with approx 40 other providers, so I do have some references to go by. These price increases put them above every single other account I have if it helps for context.
-
Well, for sure I will check, of course. If the resulting price is too much then I can simply leave. A shame though, as the uptime has been pretty decent overall. But with a saturated market, it's not very hard to find something comparible.

I am 1.5 years into a 2018 BF friday deal (edit: bad memory, May 2019) which I paid upfront for 2 years in 4 locations, renewing in June. The deal was an 80% /// recurring /// deal. I hope that they will honour this discount when it comes to renewal. I also added credit when they were running the 50% credit bonus. A bit of…

As you've already announced you're behind the domains, I would probably not get involved in a deadpool register unless you want a headache :p Theres always deadpoolregister.com for that anyway
-
yep! edit: maybe ~50 across ~40
-
Well, there are many choices for monitoring for free and I'm aware these free plans are to get people on board for the upsell. That's not really my point though, I'd be prepared to pay for the service if it means they can operate at a profit and hopefully stick around in the market, but just not $120 per year, that's too…
-
I already use a service with 50 free monitors ;) I use hetrix free as a second opinion, although admittedly I think it performs better. Which is why I would have been interested in paying (something, but not $120 USD (or 199!)) Cheers
-
Sure, but I can quickly see I'd be paying for 600 SMS credits which I would have zero use for. Same for extra locations. I dont need additional features, just monitors. Obviously you know your market better than I do, it's just too expensive for /me/ I realise that.
-
I have ~40 different shared hosting packages
-
Even with 40% off I cant justify $120 to monitor hosting packages I paid less for lol. I prefer Hetrix to Uptime Robot, but it's a hard sell when Hetrix is more expensive /with/ the discount.
-
This and telling everyone to sue, is one of the reasons I dont visit LET as often. I'm kinda sad to see you here.
-
I visit WHT shared hosting forum every few weeks to check for new offers. I have to wade through a lot of junk to find what I want. (cheap shared EU hosting with unl domains). regarding replies to threads, I sometimes ask questions regarding domains, but it's maybe 1 out of 3 times that I get a reply.
-
Thanks, will be onboard shortly :)
-
Could you please let me know the IP address of the server? I have many shared hosting accounts and want to avoid duplicate IP's. Thank you.
-
wish it was in the UK, it's £89.99... ~100 eur

VR 8K porn is the test

yeah, it's less than my phones wifi to be honest. but it's still been helpful.
-
I'm one of them digital nomad types, I carry a glinet 750m and it's been very useful when I've been in places with weak wifi. I can leave this on the window sill and catch the wifi and repeat it to my devices, pretty useful. that being said, my phone supports wifi repeating too so that gets me by in a pinch.
-
not a VPS, but thought I'd ask anyway.. DA/cpanel shared hosting, unl domain pointers, <1GB disk space/no db/no email, European or US locations (will take all if price is right)
-
Well I have multiple accounts with them too :) Host mantis has been one of the higher quality hosts I use (currently approx 30 different providers). Uptime has been the best out of all of them and they are on the more generous side of EP limits.
-
I paid for 2, The cpanel price increase wouldnt have added much on to the cost of the account for them and I would have accepted the increase in line with that.
-
Server location/network?
-
I got 4 shared accounts last year which are due to renew next year at $22 each (pfffft they dont honour recurring?). this will help me cover the bill are they on this forum? they are on the other one.
-
While that may be true, I purchased his LTD's based on the value prospoect of it last 2 years. Anything more than that and it pays off for me. Theres nothing really to tempt me away from uptimerobot and hetrix combo in the betteruptime product that would lead me to spend $49 USD, for a predictable 1-2 years before I think…
