maybe you simply just picked the wrong time to ask your initial question. I mean, providers were literally throwing their offers right into your face across the boards for the last 48 hours or so. with your question it seemed you did not care about all of that or just feel lazy to look for yourself what's offered and even…

then you're out of the game. sorry.

I am afraid I went a bit overboard this year... unexpected, didn't want to spent any money (though usually allow myself a budget of ~200€ , just in case) 2c/2G/2TB storage servarica CAN $48/y 2c/2G/40G SSD clouveo AMS 17.5€/y 4c/2G/80G SSD inceptionhosting LON 7.5€/q 2c/8G/40G NVME hosthatch NYC $30/y 2c/8G/40G NVME…

at least I do ;-) :-P PS: maybe there are troubles with the ZFS raid arrays already ... if some disk died and it runs around scrubbing all day, that obiosuly will f*ck up performance as well. I sincerely wish them good luck in figuring this out but seems it lacks a bit of planning or experience with that kind of product…

I didn't bench again, but seeing only 5-6 MB/s still via iotop on transferring real data (archives) ... let's see, hopefully he get's it cleaned up.
-
yes. sadly I can confirm. started moving some backups from a nearby server... disk writes is about 5MB/s, iowait 40-50%. it's either hundreds of users writing to spinning rust or abusers torrenting the shit out of it :(
-
how about you finally do a Blackfriday Deal then? ?♂️

strong cases of selective reading all around... ?

I think they don't run out of stock that quickly because it'S plenty of locations... during the last years they always had a lot of stock prepared and he is absolutely serious about this stuff. Though I have to admit I also pulled the trigger on two bigger NVME orders this morning - simpyl wouldn't want to risk OOS before…

@ehab you still awake? @hosthatch is bringing on BF over at the other place. 1 CPU core (12.5% dedicated, burstable up to 100%)2 GB RAM20 GB RAID-10 NVMe2 TB bandwidth (500 GB in Hong Kong and Sydney)$15 per year2 CPU core (50% dedicated, burstable up to 200%)8 GB RAM 40 GB RAID-10 NVMe5 TB bandwidth (1 TB in Hong Kong and…

totally forgot: Order #6779390839

not much. however I am in europe, so could also be something on the way...
-
loads here, but is really slow, affects also the clientarea... quite sluggish.
-
I'll vouch for you ;-) but @Andrei has always been generous anyway, I don't think he will actively disqualify anyone anyway ?♂️

the french offers are supposed to be mainly online.net (no pole either)
-
yes that screenshot is including VAT. but still they went cheaper back in the days. oneprovider offer seems tasty but I still wouldn't touch them with a pole.
-
so far I'd say the RS 2000 G9 offer was best value, as it's their regular product with an additional discount. the RS specials had less cores than the comparable model (or the other way around just a bit more ram/disk) so did not really satisfy in terms of price matching. maybe the 7.77 vserver could also be counted as…

https://www.netcup-offers.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2683 grab it quickly!!
-
I am waiting for the RS black 1 ... let's see what this is going to be :-D
-
@servarica_hani is there some kind of raid underneath the storage of polarbear? like 5, 6 or zfs?
-
the black surprise vserver is live: https://www.netcup-offers.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2676 will probably be sold out quickly... PS: as there is no generation mentioned, don't expect it to be on epyc cores. also their vps range is shared, not dedicated. cpuinfo will show just qemu cpu. at least AES is passed…
-
though you could also just simply add 2TB more as addon during checkout because it's going to be at the same insane $48 !!!
-
absolutely fair rule! thanks, ordered... please keep it away if possible and don't break performance for your neighbours by hammering these boxes - thanks!
-
and saves your ass in case one drives suddenly dies. @AC_Fan pointed out, that is still a big difference to a proper backup though. you delete something on your raid 1 - it's gone, malware messes your data - your f*cked. your provider deadpools ... I think you get the idea, why raid-1 is not a backup but a redundancy to…

@flips here is what they answered on the other place:
-
probably too many places to be at the same time if one would be afraid to miss something... ?♂️ I don't think you need to make a overboarding spammed topic like at the other place, rather keep it slick and premium. and post more GIFs!!!
-
if you are just streaming/watching your own shit and not distributing, who should be the one to complain? so there will be no issue at all. I think this is rather some kind of language barrier here ;-) just because someone said 'warez' over at LET does not mean every movie stream is automatically considered illegal... as…

without diving too deep into the german laws and regulations, I think in general it is a bad idea to torrent on german providers, because they won't like any DMCA or cease&desist letters coming in. that said, if you only run your personal plex server or whatever I don't think they care at all. for sure they won't snoop…

@UltraVPS storage special 1 - more room, faster network and a tad cheaper than kimsufi after VAT reduction (if apllicable). reliable and highly professional provider, recommended. https://www.ultravps.eu/order/order.pl?cat=cloudserver_storage&lang=en
