That's an icon for our Storage Share products. ;) I don't know how a mint could get an STD, but I will concede that the icon could be mistaken for an Altoid. ;) --Katie

One of our coworkers made this, and it made me chuckle. So I'll post for you Star Wars fans for today, May the 4th: --Katie

Happy Hump Day! (It's funny writing that right underneath Wednesday Adams.) For those Fedora fans out there, we've added Fedora 32 to Hetzner Cloud. --Katie
-
Hi @Nyr - We don't plan to support AXFR. Without going into detail, outgoing AXFR might cause some conflicts currently with the DNS Console and with some other future plans that we have for the nameservers. --Katie
-
Thanks, yeah, the Hetzner Cloud team tried to get it ready really fast. I sometimes like to post things with graphics just to liven things up a bit in the thread. Maybe I'm an overly-visual person. I also passed on your feedback to the dev team. --Katie

The team at Hetzner Cloud has a piece of good news for you this Friday. They've added the new Ubuntu 20.04 to their lineup of standard operating systems. I had never heard of the code word Focal Fossa, so of course I had to look it up, and there are some quirky things about this cat. --Katie
-
Happy Thursday! The work week is almost done, but maybe you need something to stimulate those brain cells of yours. We've added another tutorial to our Community. --Katie
-
@willie - I'm just curious so I can pass on good feedback to the dev team for when they think about future server generations. What's the use case you would have in mind for that kind of configuration? Is it just the price of the AX41 that you like, or is there something about its setup that you would like to see together…

To the best of my knowledge, we generally plan on having all of our new server models in all our DC locations eventually. Normally, there is usually just a few weeks' difference between locations. But there are several factors that have made this difficult to implement over the last few months, unfortunately. Our team is…
-
@SagnikS - I am not sure, but I will ask our team and get back to you. --Katie
-
@flips To the best of my knowledge, there are not any plans to add support for DNSSEC or ANAME in the near future. --Katie
-
We'd like to introduce you to the newest server in our AX lineup. It's a step up in performance from our AX51-NVMe, but its price is very down to earth. That's why I think of it as our Goldilocks of the AX line. Happy Monday! --Katie
-
@Nyr - I got a really quick answer from our Robot team leader. No, we won't delete an account even if there are just free DNS entries on it and you have no other paid products/services with us. This is also true even if it is just one DNS entry. --Katie
-
In other news, one of our customers wrote a pretty nifty tutorial for our Community page: "How-to: Provisioning a highly available load balancer in Hetzner Cloud with Ansible" I thought it might me a nice, small Friday surprise. --Katie

Quite honestly, but it should be visible from the Rescale feature. I am having a hard time finding a particular file from my remote office. But it is probably visible from the moveable scale on the feature: https://twitter.com/Hetzner_Online/status/964510250245160960/photo/1 (Unfortunately, it's not in this screenshot that…

That's an interesting question, and I don't know the answer to it. I'll pass it onto the Robot team and see what they say. --Katie
-
@willie So, the standard instance for the 16 core model (CPX 51) comes with 32 GB of RAM, but you can always use the Rescale function to add more RAM as you need. (And I think you can also scale it back down to 32 GB if you no longer need the extra RAM). But I'll still pass on that feedback. :) --Katie
-
@debaser We also have Hetzner Cloud options with dedicated virtual CPUs. These plans (CCX line) are based on Intel Xeon Skylake processors. A few other customers have asked about dedicated plans for EPYC based Cloud Servers (CPX line). If you would be interested in this, I can add a +1 to the customer wishlist for you.…

Hi, thanks for posting this news! You beat me to it! :D --Katie

Hi guys, I hope that I have understood the question correctly. Here's some info I have from a colleague on the Support Team: 1. Yes you can use DNS entries for domains registered with other registrars (as long as no other customer is using it already at Hetzner). So if the "provider" (maybe reseller) is also our customer…
-
Sorry, I clearly have not had enough coffee today and messed up my post! :open_mouth: Here's the link to the new EPYC-based Cloud Servers.

Drumroll please.... Our team at Hetzner Cloud has been working hard on something epic.. Check it out! --Katie
-
You can order larger subnets if you need them for a fee. https://wiki.hetzner.de/index.php/IP-Adressen/en Yes, they are. But I don't want to reveal more than that. ;) --Katie
-
Interesting... I'll pass that onto the dev team. :D --Katie

We only calculate outgoing traffic in our monthly traffic limits. We do not include incoming and internal traffic in the calculation. Traffic between Hetzner Cloud servers and our dedicated root servers is internal traffic. The same is true for traffic between other Hetzner products. --Katie
-
@willie Yeah, I know some people in the states who've already lost their jobs unfortunately. And there are similar things happening here. At Hetzner, people who are working remotely, myself included, are. And in the DCs, I'm sure we're taking precautions wherever we can. --Katie
-
The epic controversy over white mode or black mode continues. At Hetzner Cloud's user interface Cloud Console, we've added black mode, so you can now choose which one you prefer. See a preview here. --Katie
-
Our team's been in close contact with suppliers to try to fix logistics challenges. In addition, our HR team recently succeeded in finding new coworkers on very short notice for our Hardware Assembly team. Our team there is working as fast as they can while still trying to do quality work. Indeed. But I thought it might…

@evnix Each one of our cloud servers always has one IPv4 and one IPv6 Net (/64). If you want floating IPs, they are extra. If you have other questions, check out our wiki page: https://wiki.hetzner.de/index.php/CloudServer/en --Katie

Hi @willie and @MikePT - Thanks for that! I've passed it on directly to the team who developed the Storage Boxes and maintains them. We really appreciate the feedback. :D --Katie
-
Hey guys, in case you haven't seen it already, we've got the new Dell PowerEdge R6515 in our line up. We call it the DX181. Curious to learn more...? I asked one of our dev team members some questions about it. --Katie
-
@willie Which improvements specifically would you like to see with our Storage Boxes? (I can forward them onto the team for consideration.) --Katie
-
You look for recipes like "sourdough bread" or "sourdough cinnamon buns" "sourdough pancakes" etc. Those recipes will probably tell you to include a certain amount of your "starter". You can freeze or refrigerate whatever you don't use, and then use it later. I put my leftovers into glass jars without a lid or with small…

I'll pass that feedback onto the team. Thanks! --Katie
