Due to the maintenance yesterday, the NanoKVM Panel was offline as expected, however the scripts which are responsible to sync the haproxy data between the panel and the nodes did not worked as expected. Which caused an outage on the HAProxy services on the nodes: FM, DE and NO. RO and NL where not affected, the bug has…

The NL node which the microLXC NL KVM was on, had a hardware failure today. Since the VM cluster is HA, we only had a downtime of 7 minutes in total, premium.

Who would surrender a Ryzen? No men.

Git is kinda nice, you already have 3 different backups by default.

You can go down to about 68ms between NY <=> LON with Vultr Just need to find a good path from LON to FIN for you.

KS1 is available multiple times a week, so I don't see a point here. The 10$ in setup fees is what would you pay anyway. Also, you can't transfer servers, only account's including your private data etc.

News about Romania. The cause of these outages where errors reported by the ilo, regarding the system fan. The Technicians checked the server and did a reset on the ilo, however I still expect to get the fan replaced by tomorrow. Which may result in a short downtime, to exclude any further fan related issues. Eygelshoven…

Indeed, most stuff works with LXC out of the box.
-
Nice to hear, that the "VM" works fine.
-
Does it? I don't expect it to work on unprivileged lxc containers, they would need to be privileged. However, wireguard native should work fine, since the kernel module is enabled. Maybe you can fallback to wireguard at some point.
-
Romania went offline again just a few minutes ago, likely some kind of hardware issue, ticket pending.
-
No one here is using freebsd.

5.11 should run fine in KVM, just at the node you may run into issues. I have no idea how stable the edge kernel is and how often you need to patch it. You won't have kernel care or such.
-
Well, it won't be that bad with 1-2 VM's on a single disk. If you end up putting 10 of them on a disk, baba yaga.

A huge chonk of slice, 2, or 4TB options available?

I recently moved microlxc.net to a new VM running on NVMe + EPYC, let me know if you run into any issues.
-
Set I/O and iops limits per VM, you can reconfigure the node but you don't need to do it.
