Thanks for the screenshots. Yeah, I already knew that I could click this button at the bottom right to view the full policy. Thing is, if opening the main website is counted as the first click (or clicking on a website in google results) that would make the PP visible with 3 clicks. I know, I know. Who cares? The visitors…

Clients, I do directly forward them to either a service like IT-Recht Kanzlei, or connect them with a law firm, I often send clients to. I also make sure that the legal texts are not part of the "product"/service I sell to my clients. There are solutions where you could also cover client sites (like Iubenda and other sites…

I know, I know, yet another german service, but even if you are non-german (e.g. @bikegremlin ): If you skim through the clauses included for free in https://www.einfach-abmahnsicher.de/drittdienste , you will find many important key clauses. Includes e.g.: I know, I am being a bit picky, but if I am paying for it, it…

Update: Seems like, once actually embedded, it shows a note at the end of the privacy policy stating the "hosted by Iubenda: See Privacy Policy" kinda message. I guess that's good enough, then. Although it would imho still be better to have Iubenda included in the actual privacy policy (not just at the bottom of the…

Believe me when I say, you are not missing out😂

This is just the "short privacy policy", though. I'd like to show the "complete" one (bottom right) which is where I couldn't find it. According to some law you need to view the full pp with 1 or two clicks (1st click is opening the website www.domaim.com second is clicking on the PP button, third would be "show complete…

I have only had a short look at them the other day and quickly generated a standard privacy policy (basically without many extra services). One thing that stood out to me (raised a ticket already) is that they basically offer 3 implementation methods, all of which encourage embedding the legal text via their servers…

@angstrom It appears to be an issue with my Ubuntu Virtualbox. Downloaded a 100MB Test file from my FTP: Virtualbox - Ubuntu 20.04: Speedtest : ympker@ympker-BackupBox:~$ speedtest-cliRetrieving speedtest.net configuration...Testing from Vodafone Germany Cable (xxxxxxxx)...Retrieving speedtest.net server list...Selecting…

Good idea, will do that tomorrow! Thanks :)

Hmm... I don't think it's an issue wiht @MikePT but rather with my virtualbox VM. When I try to download something via FTP+WinSCP on my Windows Rig, I get up to 6 Mb/s download. When I try to get something using FTP via my virtualbox ubuntu vm (wget -r ftp://.... ), it doesn't download faster than with about 50 Kbit/s…

As long as it works for you, nothing wrong with that ;) I just wanted a fancy GUI this time around. FWIW, I just wrote a backup script today to download a full FTP backup of my website (on MyW shared hosting) to my VirtualBox in a folder named "dd:mm:yyyy" and then copy it over to my local NAS. My Bash is kinda rusty,…

Very interesting! Will read into it! Thanks :) Thank you for the thorough feedback, mate. I recently purchased AOMEI Backupper Pro (as was recommended by @beagle ) and was going to use that one for my backups now. The features seem to be decent enough ( https://www.aomeitech.com/ab/professional.html ) and I will try to…

Thanks for explaining! Yeah, it was really interesting to hear @willie mention the Tower of Hanoi. I will read a bit into it and see what importance I assign to each backup and how I will schedule it :)
-
Also an interesting approach! Thanks, mate! :) Thanks for chiming in, mate! Especiallt, because you also use AOMEI :) Yeah, I tend to lean towards differential backups. Thanks again!

Congratz on the expansion, mate! All best :)

I bought three codes, but didn't get around to testing them yet. @Falzo might know a bit more about this.
-
Like I said, Mobirise is a great tool. There just isn't much in the paid version that would make me buy it. The free version is probably all I'd need.
-
Mobirise is a great tool and fun to build with. I just never could justify the 100$ price tag since I didn't need the extensions and it basically is just themes aside from that iirc. All the Blocks are available in free version and you can just byo.

Totally understand where you are coming from. I get it. It's annoying. Nobody likes cookie banners. Nobody reads Privacy Policies except competitors and lawyers who want to sue you. In Germany it's a bit more intense, though. So this seems like a good AIO deal tbh. Setup and forget. No recurring fees. Multilingual. I just…
-
Thanks! That sounds great and at that price seems to really be a steal considering that most other (proper) legal-smart solutions charge you way more😅
-
So you have tried them, then? Could you elaborate a bit for what you used them in particular and what stood out to you?
-
Cheers to @Mason & @mikho for all the effort you guys put in this place. I know, I wouldn't have had the time for it and that way I cherish your decision to still operate this place with the little free time you have all the more :)
-
Thanks for clarifying! Very good to know this. Still: If you don't want an AIO solution, couldn't you just generate imprint+privacy policy with Iubenda's smallest plan on appsumo and use smth like Cookiebot/Consentmanager/Complianz as a cookie solution? You are not forced to use Iubenda for that, right? Of course, it might…

I edited my reply above but tl;dr: Most of these legal-smart providers let you choose whether you want to use their integration, or you just want to copy the text in a Word document and make it a pdf, or copy the plain text to your website manually etc. In that case, any updates are usually only applied in your user area…
-
Unfortunately, that is the case with most of these services. If by Hosting your documents you mean that they are storing them on their servers. If you only mean you don't want to embed the legal texts via a short-code by them but rather paste the thing as plain text/PDF, most of these services let you copy the texts once…

I haven't used them myself, because I use another service for that purpose. They do offer translations to various languages which is why I figured the offer might be interesting to some people here. What I can say, in general, is that after having been a Web Designer for many years now, never have there been so many new…

I hope all is well with him :) Best wishes @mikho !

I think they all come with DA. At least mine did when I bought it a year(?!) ago.

Sim.de 10GB LTE Allnet Flat + SMS for 7,99€/mo. Freenet Funk is temtping but dont need that much.

I was kinda "lucky" this time. Only changed my mobile sim contract and skipped all other sales :)

Ivacy really is only good for unblocking streams, since their chrome extensions supports lots of streaming sites. VPN Speed has very slow for me. In fact, even the cheaper FastestVPN performs much better speed-wise.

Congratz and GLWS mate! <3
