Performance is super swift (even with the Intel Celeron N4100), imho. It boots in 1-2 seconds and with Smartlock, I can unlock it with my phone via Bluetooth. I usually don't shut it down, but just shut the lid instead. When I open the lid again it is basically instantly ready to use. What's pretty cool is that it seems to…

Interesting! Thanks for sharing :)

Thank you, mate! I am sure, I will :)
-
Yeah :) The same one with 8GB RAM was on sale for about the same price but with french keyboard layout. A shame, if it was QWERTZ I would have bought that one instead.

It's good to see Frankfurt being added to the list! Glws :)

Finally pulled the trigger on a Chromebook @havoc :) Got the Acer CB315 on sale (it has been a bit cheaper in the past, but this is still fine). Acer Chromebook 15 inch (CB315-3HT-C47Q) (ChromeOS, laptop, FHD touch display, battery life: up to 12.5 hours, 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM / 64 GB eMMC, 1.63 kg light, 20.3 mm thin ). My dad…

Will watch this later! Figma is a cool design tool, indeed :) I use it sometimes to quickly mock-up pages.

What setup, themes, plugins, cdn are you using?

I am very happy with Shortpixel. Their free plan comes with 100(?) optimized images/month :)
-
Haha yeah. I knew it was a Google project, just wasn't sure what the main difference to Pagespeed was.
-
That definitely looks good. More than happy with a 9x score, anyway :P The other day I also tested with Web.dev. It seems very similar to Google Pagespeed (or is even the same) with a little extra(?) info.
-
Yeah, many people in Divi FB groups said that fixed it for them.

Pretty cool find today: Websites using Divi world-wide :) https://trends.builtwith.com/websitelist/Divi Websites built with Divi that have been added recently: https://trends.builtwith.com/websitelist/Divi/Added-Recently In Germany ( https://trends.builtwith.com/websitelist/Divi/Germany ) , G2 Esports uses Divi, apparently:

On another note: @vyas the other day, I was googling for some tech-topic (forgot what it was exactly) and on third spot on Google results, your blog popped up. Needlessly to say, I choose to read your article over the others available :)

@ehab What are these windows I am seeing when trying to accessing @mikho LG? 🧐
-
Awesome that you are giving someone from our community the chance to do this. I am sure @ehab will do a good job :)

Just moved another Blog to Blocksy Theme + Classic Editor + Divi Builder (to keep old posts that were made with Divi). Snappy performance and looks nice :) Perhaps, later I will do some optimizing, but out of the box it comes to 97 Desktop and 91 Mobile pagespeed.

Good guy! Glws :)

Looking good. I guess I won't be dropping WP any time soon (also business related), however I can definitely see the appeal :) I will have to check out Frontity (headless WP) soon. Sounds dope! https://frontity.org/

I had a similar problem (layout with little to no distance to blog posts) with my starting page which displayed blog posts using the blog module. I contacted support and they fixed it via remote access and sent me even a Loom video how they did it. Was a case of some margins I forgot I had in place and also one of the CSS…

Yeah, cookie banners are basically a must, these days :/ Ah, my bad. Of course, the search bar thing is not the same as a cookie-consent thingy popping up. What I was trying to say is that, because of all the cookie banners that exist nowadays, I am kinda allergic to anything that blocks my first view on a page. Since I…
-
Maybe I have just seen too many cookie-banners, but I can't have it anymore, these days, when my first view of a page (after optionally having clicked a cookie banned) is blocked/limited due to some overlaying content (as here is the searchbar). I get the idea behind it, and if your visitors prefer that, tha's great, but I…

I kind of like Design A more. Looks a bit cleaner/catching imho. In Design B, the search bar and other elements kinda block the view to the picture.

Anyone else has noticed/run into the issue described in this Post in a Divi FB group? I have used LSCache so far, but without (noticeable) issues. The very same guy tested some Caching Plugins with Divi upon their behaviour on first page load. This was the result:
-
Yeah, still not much a fan of Gutenberg either. Especially vanilla (without any custom block plugins). But even with.. meh.
-
On my own homepage, I currently use WPAstra Theme (Pro) + Gutenberg Blocks+Qubely Pro Pagebuilder (which offers custom Gutenberg Blocks).
-
Seems like WordPress is gonna refuse plugins with "WP" in their name. WPVivid Backup Plugin comes to mind. https://wptavern.com/wordpress-org-experiments-with-rejecting-plugin-submissions-with-the-wp-prefix-to-mitigate-potential-trademark-abuse
-
Pmed you. I don't do this for free anymore, but I won't charge much either ;)
-
Blocksy definitely makes it look quite "clean&elegant". Good luck!
-
Glad you had another look at Blocksy (free). I was also very surprised to see this many "premium" options available for free. Especially felt like everything I was looking for was exactly where I'd imagined it had to be. Thus, very intuitive. I haven't checked their code, but that seems indeed a bit "bad practice" :/ I…

Damn, seems like Microsoft is ending Office-App support for Chromebooks soon (forcing chrome os users to use Microsoft's online solution). https://gizmodo.com/microsoft-is-going-to-make-it-difficult-for-chromebook-1847559751

All the best, my friend :)
