Looking good! Thanks for sharing :)

Also a happy @MikePT client here. Server's snappy and Mike is a good guy ;)

I'd also add that, while I haven't really tested GP or OceanWP, Blocksy is very beginner friendly and offers many otherwhise often "premium featues" out of the box. My friend from university (she is usually non-tech savy) is super happy with it and created her first blog with it. I also recommended it to another LE member…

Blocksy Theme is free, so shouldn't be an issue :)

People seem really to like Divi's new update: Give Blocksy Theme a try. Really slick & performant :)

I don't remember exactly. It must have been 2-3 years ago iirc. I think that was before they had developed their own panel but I am not sure. Iirc they used cPanel with a dead-old cPanel skin back then?!

Siteground wasn't bad when I left them. They were quite decent but I decided to go elsewhere, regardless. For many of my managed clients, I use IONOS which is also a big brand and people seem to trust them since they are well known in Germany.

Hey there, mate. It's good to see you :) To host Python apps, throughout all my courses, Heroku keeps popping up. They also have a free tier to deploy apps. Not an IDE though, afaik. To compile Python code online, so far, I used Programiz ( https://www.programiz.com/python-programming/online-compiler/ ) but pythonanywhere…

* Maybe double-check if you need all the Plugins, then :) * Nice! * and 4. I haven't used Centminmod in a looong while (even more because I am a Debian/Ubuntu guy). I assume everything is fine, however vps does not always outperform shared hosting. Depends on the setup etc. If you have some leftover money get a small…

Managing my phone? Fairly well. Coding Android apps? Never done that before 😂 But there are sites that can turn your website into an app. Have a look at AppGeysr free and similar (will show ads though, iirc?). https://appsgeyser.com/

What do you mean, exactly? Do you have a WordPress website with many pages and your guess is that this is what makes it slow in the backend? First, try to review every plugin you are using and question yourself whether you really need it. Too many Plugins can quickly become a bottle-neck. Second: Are your images optimized?…

Coming from Yoast this could be interesting! Thanks mate :)
-
Restya looks dope :) Thanks for the tip! For offline usage Kanboard looks nice , but I prefer it synced online :D

Everyone hates monday, ugh 😅 On another note, I never used it. Looks decent enough and I have heard the name pop-up ever so often.
-
Probably it boils down to what @MS said :) Personally, I am eager to give Slimseo a try. I think @bikegremlin uses Seo Framework?! I never used Rankmath so can't comment on that one.

Awesome news for Divi fans :) A mail regarding this update just came in :) Read full blog post here: https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/theme-releases/divi-performance

The thing with Stacksocial/Appsumo SaaS services likte this, that if they are not super popular, I always have the feeling they might disappear sooner than later leaving me to clean up the mess and migrate to another paid solution. I'd prefer using Trello (free) over this as they are very well established and (hopefully)…

Not too expensive, but looks too cluncky for smth that I don't really "need" :P Thanks for sharing, though! Interesting, thanks for sharing! Isn't that basically selling to EIG? Someone in the comment section mentioned that. What's your go-to SEO plugin if you use any? You mentioned you'd optimize texts already for SEO,…

Just found out about "Cursive", a new note-taking app exclusively for Chromebooks: https://chromeunboxed.com/cursive-google-app-chrome-os-hp-x2-11/ Seems pretty cool ;)
-
Thanks for the suggestion, mate! Yeah, I was gonna have a look at that list later :)
-
Thanks @Mr_Tom and @FAT32 for chiming in. Really sounds interesting :) Will have a look!

Interesting. I am one of those people who never got around to using Gitlab. What (kind of) things can it do, really? I assume it is like a self-hosted Github solution, iirc? Some extra perks/special features compared to Github (given that Github now also has private repos for free).
-
Could be an idea, too. Albeit, official ChromeOS (if they already know it from the laptop) may be better. Isn't the publicly availabe ChromiumOS kinda different from the official ChromeOS, though? Also, regarding CX9, I can imagine that devices with specs like this come into existence for ChromeOS because gaming is also…

Nice find! Also cool to see AIO PCs based on ChromeOS. Might be smth for my parents, too :) https://www.theverge.com/22615847/hp-chromebase-aio-21-5-all-in-one-chrome-os-desktop-hands-on-first-look-specs-price-features
