My knowledge stops at using shared/reseller hosting, via a control panel (DirectAdmin, or cPanel). :( Don't think I'd dare to rent a VPS for this use, especially since it involves kids, in fear of any virus/hack/abuse problem backfiring. icecast.org requires root privileges for install, if I understand it correctly?
