RaveX, how much data do you have exactly? There are quite a few services available with "unlimited" storage, like JottaCloud (where the limit seems to be at least 15TB, with lower speeds if over 5TB, although do note that they are known to delete accounts with Linux ISOs, so you'd have to keep everything in encrypted…

* Do you take regular VPS / hosting backups? (At this price point, probably not, but it won't hurt to ask!) * Can one use the shared hosting as storage too, or is that plan for website related data only? (=data hoarders should specifically get a VPS) * Since the DC is in Montreal, by any chance, are your servers powered…

Well, OP was asking for something close to Mexico, and as far as Romania is concerned, there's a high chance that there's gonna be an even better offer from HostSolutions.ro (unless that last crazy deal was also their last one).
-
'Fraid you might be on to something here... Promo: Regular pricing: 4x as much $, but only 2x the specs

Apparently it's good bang for the buck: https://projector.cloud-mercato.com/projects/scaleway-stardust/openssl-speed/graph Benchmark (not mine): https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/4505647 They make their stock sound really limited, not sure about the actual state of things because I don't have a Scaleway account.

Two Three ideas: * https://greencloudvps.com/black-friday.php -> 500 GB in either Denver or Atlanta for 30 USD/y. * https://lowendstorage.win/ -> not my site, but I visit it every now and often -> sorted by cheapness, not sure about BudgetNode, i-83 has a rather bad reputation AFAIR, mrVM has good ratings but storage plans…

English address WUT? Meaning, people from non-Anglophone/non-Germanophone (they're from Germany after all) countries may have (or are having???) have problems ordering servers from them?

Not sure about the performance part, but I guess one good thing about CF is that if you're an admin is that it protects your website against (D)DoS attacks, and allegedly it hides its actual IP as well. On the other hand, as a user, I personally rather hate CF because of the captcha! (getting it every now and then on some…

To clarify the part about affiliate links: as long as it's a good offer (=not regular, but special BF pricing), even if we are not providers, we would be allowed to cross-post an offer from elsewhere inside the BF thread using our aff links? (Personally, I don't have anything in particular in mind ATM, but perhaps this…

Thanks for sharing, really nice offer! (the first year at least.. I think I'll backup my storage VPS here!). BTW, if I understood correctly, the 1TB offer is WebDAV only, and the addtl. protocols are limited to the most expensive HiDrive Pro plan.

Sorry, I'm probably not going to rent any of these, so I guess I'm just saying hi ;) But concerning price/performance (Ryzen!): On the topic of KVM vs. LXC: the other day I asked one provider selling both KVM and LXC (with the former costing more than the latter for the same specs, both options also had dedicated CPU…

Romania is down again ... orz (incl. the website) EDIT: Luckily, both are back up again! \m/ EDIT2: ↓Lol, TBH I'm not sure exactly, my wget sessions got disconnected a while ago... Anyway, good thing it's over!

Question: CPU is fair share, or dedicated? (=Would constant CPU usage around 100% be allowed, or would I get a warning/get banned)
-
Thanks guys! (Sorry, I meant the issue itself, not just the abbreviation)
-
Care to elaborate? SPA does ring a bell but I'm not sure what you're referring to here exactly..
-
consider adding the following: sites: * surge, * gitlab pages, * hostman, * render, * neocities features (or the lack thereof): * custom domain support, * https support (subdomain only / incl. custom domain)
-
To be honest, I really don't see this happening.. I know there are sales every now and then for newer less popular tlds, but .com? O_o Many places take a loss for the first year, and CloudFlare is probably the cheapest for regular renewals (since they do not have any markup over wholesale prices)
-
@terrahost Would sustained high CPU usage (around 99%) be OK, or is this fair-share only?
-
high (dedicated) (v)cpu (Ryzen?) + low ram + low disk VPS or dedicated servers - for encoding and what not

Some major trolling going on right now! Favorite commit: https://github.com/github/dmca/pull/8132/files (possible NWA remake? :D) Favorite comment: https://github.com/github/dmca/pull/8148#issuecomment-716160218 (actually this looks legit LOL ;) )

I'd like to hope it's because it's just the beta, but in case they leave it like this after GA - yeah... -_-
