Isn't caching good for performance? Although I don't know what you can use to cache SSD/NVMe other than RAM? I agree with overall view on performance, and personally I'm kind of leaning towards limiting IOPS in every VPS so the node stays stable even under full occupancy (and I as one of the guest wouldn't bump into I/O…

Yes indeed, but damn it doesn't make sense if I install a webpanel blazing fast then have 5XX error when logging in 5mins later.
-
I have experienced this "waking up syndrome" before (not with Inception). Could not get it resolved and finally migrated off of it. Even fresh templated install with no services also yielded same results
-
Yes the same vps is doing 3.4GB/s now on DD. I was asking about the normal SSD in RAID 10 though; NVMe is too fast and too hot for me to comprehend right now :p
-
I'm also not sure either as given the computing power and tdp it looks real nice and also ECC support
-
I ask this in pursuit of the perfect VPS haha
-
When it is raid 10 on SSD, hardware raid or not? Is performance better with hardware raid or without?

as a hobbyist, started with centos and centos commands now make most sense (perhaps by memory as well). never tried debian, but ubuntu does have some advantage when it comes to installing stuff and updates. cant remember exactly what but it is more complete and "smart" by default than centos. however due to limited…
