Performance of VPS fluctuate. Doesn't matter how isolated each accounts are. In the end it is shared. Therefore, benchmark of a VPS is ultimately meaningless. Whatever number you get, it's not the result that will hold up.
-
Because, for benchmark junkies, real world performance is not important. Only synthetic numbers are a matter of importance to them.
-
Catering to small businesses is selective. For the low end hosting market though, I don't really care what happen to them. Whatever they get, I will say they deserve it. They are the whinest and loudest bunch.
-
I'd say 14 bucks per or whatever it is at now a Cpanel license is a rip off - if - you can run your server without it. Majority of those on LET have to have it. So, it ain't a rip-off. It's essential cost.
-
You kind of answered the grand question - the scale of development and commitment required.
-
When CPanel price increased - We are gonna develop / roll our own! Years later - Nothing. WHMCS price increase - We are gonna develop / roll our own! Prediction - Nada. Would love to be proven wrong.
-
If one needs that kind of screenshot, he needs help.
-
The screenshot key is all I need for screenshots.
-
You are right that you can't compared it with grocery. One has to feed himself. Can't pay it? You die. No alternatives. WHMCS price increase? Who cares. There are alternatives, and it won't kill ya. Can't compare indeed.
-
And who is to blame for such flawed mentality? Hosts in my book.
-
Doesn't seem that bad. My grocery budget had to go up by 20% last year. And it is going to go up by another 20% this year. Everything goes up. What's new? I do feed sad about those on fixed wages though. Webhosting companies are better because they can just raise prices.

It used to be that 80% of users are basically idlers. This rule holds true still if your target audience is the general people. But that changes when you enter lowend. These people demand a lot for a penny. Also avoid anyone who asks for dedicated cores/threads. They ain't worth the trouble.
-
Doesn't matter. It matters to only geeks.

666 seconds.
-
Much harder to get away.

He is being smarter. I knew he was up to something when he started making all useless threads on the other forum, making friends. It's a never good sign when some new signup starts making tons of threads.
-
Probably because he has shown weird fondness for "free" and "open source" stuff on the other forum. The guy had to show his true face at one point. I will say he showed it a lot sooner than I expected. Well, summer is coming after all.
-
The end is nigh.
-
The way the MaxKVM account is trolling, I will say that he is Alex Lee.
-
W, wait, you didn't sue Fran? Why not? It is time to strike the empire! Frantech empire!
-
There is even a chance that this "Alex Lee" is MaxKVM himself right here.
-
Not resolved in my eyes. And this should forever remain open.
-
You shouldn't response like that to your friends in real also. PMS is a deadly condition for males.
-
Alex Lee had a PMS. That's all.
-
Not worth it, to be honest. A request like this is so obvious.
-
SBG1 are four container boxes, I believe. So, those don't have wooden floors. SBG2 had wooden floors, and I assume their other buildings have the same feature.
-
Man, their whole DC is a ticking time bomb.
-
Flip a coin and decide.
-
I am able to access it from where I am. But it is brutally slow. It took 1 minutes and 666 seconds to load a page.
-
Can't expect anyone to give something entirely for free. There is always a catch, mate.
-
It's good that you are even thinking of moving away from Wordpress. It helps to move out of your comfort zone once in a while.
-
I'd say Grav CMS is pretty much a static website. It's a flat file CMS. It does require PHP but pretty sure all webhosts have that nowadays.
-
I am guessing 3.5 million out of 3.6.
-
Some? A lot will try. As soon as "free" comes to play, dignity vanishes.
-
How do they know whether someone is an OVH customer to begin with?
-
Looking at the building, it looks pretty ghetto to me. Not even sure whether they had a working fire suppression system.

Having "a backup" on the same location isn't a backup. Backup 101.
