• Read in a WP group about jpegoptim for image compression. Nifty little cli based tool that can compare well with shortpixel or tinypng for image compression. Below is a nice How To. https://www.mankier.com/1/jpegoptim If you have a WP install on a VPS and are looking to use one less plugin, this might be worth a try.

• Yes...and good question! Typically I do not post anything I have not tried. And if I haven’t, then I mention it. My major concern is I do not understand the nuts and bolts of the script. They could be totally legit! Maybe the more knowledgeable can comment.
