I had tried that but still got the same auth error. I also tried OpenVPN Connect and logs also show auth error.

Well I contacted customer service and they themselves couldn't figure out what is wrong. I checked the openvpn logs and it says auth failure however the username/password is correct. I tried changing passwords a few times but no luck. I was able to login into the web account manager and all apps so not sure what happened.…

Hello, has anyone encountered an issue with FastestVPN whereby the are unable to connect using their ovpn udp files? The windows app does not work either. I have only had luck with the browser extensions.

So by getting recorded by the network interface I mean if you use tools like nload,bmon etc to view vps network usage it shows like my vps is the one causing that network usage. I checked the control panel network usage graphs and it as well shows like if I am the one downloading for so long. As suggested here I used iftop…

I found the culprit of the traffic but I don't know why it is getting recorded in the network interface of my VPS and yes that person is still generating the traffic. I have opened a ticket with the provider about this situation.

Thank you, as was suspected it is some other user generating the traffic but getting recorded by my vps network interface. I guess it might have been UDP traffic which is why it was not shown in tcptrack, not entirely sure.

So I finally got around to setting up my new vps but not sure if the provider is suffering a DDOS or something but uptime has been horrible lately.

Interesting, I use bitdefender total security and have never gotten any such message from the AV. I checked and I have all the online threat prevention settings turned on.
