A timestamp on posts is helpful. ;) (including the thread list)

Phew! Glad it's back - I flicked in on the off-chance. The dark theme literally screws up my vision, leaving spots on my eyes, within a minute. Decades of CRTs with light on black? Dunno. "Gonnae no dae that, just gonnae no"

Eyes are now f'ked - copied ant's help from other day to text editor. BYE

Timeout for me due to night mode crap.

Are you talking about Windoze too? :anguished:

This may have been useful, shame it was abandoned though: https://open.vanillaforums.com/addon/bootstrapthemeswitchlayout-plugin Perhaps a coding guru here can update it, if considered worthwhile.

@AnthonySmith Didn't mean to add to your burden but now I know you're having fun. =)

Just change around the font in End and Spirit; puting the emphasis on LowEnd and the Spirit more 'ghostly'. (Geddit?) Damn, it's past Halloween. :-|

I'll be straight to the point: an enforced dark background with pale text would ruin this already clear/clean forum. I tried HB forum for a couple of looks and gave up. An option to switch colour scheme is fine; just don't enforce "night mode".

I was following a mashup of 'instructions' on the web and got pretty confused along the way. I also have nginx reverse proxy and webserver VMs on this host, so I'll take my time over the reconfiguration. Thanks!

Firefox' Web Developer, plus right-click Inspect Element are useful and has come a long way from when it needed a separate add-on (Firebug). That's what I use for quick fixes - I ain't no web developer either.

                I'm using a bridged network on an OVH host. I have the following if that makes things clearer. Part of my iptables-set.sh/csfpost.sh * echo 1 >/proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward * echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/vmbr1/proxy_arp * /sbin/iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -i vmbr0 -p tcp --dport 8000 -j DNAT --to 10.0.0.100:80 * ...…

This. Unless Ant. can make it a manual option. Not sure if there's some javascipt that'll power off your 'phone. :-/

                Brightness control, it's a thing. :-/

I wonder if a displayed registered user count would be useful. Curiosity for most and perhaps a draw for hosting providers. Just a thought.
 -
@AnthonySmith Are you having fun, yet? ;)
 -
^ Aye, but I wonder who poked the stick. :3

Don't understand why anyone would want to run Ubuntu server; 'tis beyond me.

                http://ipv6-test.com/button-ipv6-80x15.png breaks SSL padlock. ;)

I was using the @seriesn Ryzen when pissin' about with LowEndInfo.com Easily the fastest at installation/updates of all my VPS/servers and possibly my i5 laptop.

Don't go dark by default. If you do, enforce CAPS and make the text pale green, then it'll be truly Dragon 32 retro. There's a very good reason why Kindle use black on white. ;)

                Kewl. Thanks Boss.
