Thanks to everyone who replied after my last post! As said, privatebin does the trick for me and is exactly what I was looking for. My friend is happy and now sending his "secret" messages through my server already. Again, thank you all and have a great rest of the week! <3

Thank you all (including the million hugs) for your suggestions! <3 I went with PrivateBin. I am aware of the cons and pros of such a solution and the limited added "security". But a good friend of mine loves to send his notes this way and I thought he would better do that on a server that I control and not on a server…

Ah, let's not start with my health. But nothing is worse than previously, which is probably already a good thing! I hope the best for you and your ass, too! :)

All good, just drowning in work and real-life issues... <3

Probably following the same idea as Google 12 years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRwPSFpLX8I

Oh Lord! I feel for OVH and their customers. Horrible incident. I am glad that nobody died or got hurt, as it seems! But I must also admit that postings like "How do I activate the Disaster Recovery Plan in the OVH panel?" amuse me a bit. Do people really think that a Disaster Recovery Plan is something that your provider…

Hey @Mason & @mikho! All the imaginable best and congratulations! And thanks to @AnthonySmith for all the fish! You gifted us a great place! <3

Free service for legends like you! <3 Might be, but I care more about Ant than about @Cider. Nothing against @Cider. It's just that Ant has more of a cuddle-factor to me. It's emotional, cannot explain.
-
Party time then! <3

While I (personally) would not like the idea of being one of @Cider's employees, I still think that the new situation offers benefits to both parties. All I wish for Anthony is being happy in life. Is that too much too ask for? No. It is not! So, Ant - If you are happy, then I am happy with you. And, @Clouvider: Be…

But can it host Parler?

Hi Anthony! Great offer! I wonder - is there something like a network speed test file available (1GB or so) for your US location? That would be helpful... Thanks in advance & kind regards! A.

After some swift and friendly ticket conversation with Callum @liteserver, my HDD-4G Storage VPS has been provisioned very quick and it is a very nice machine. Great connectivity so far. Glad to be a new customer of @liteserver. They have always been on my list...

Ticket Created #234076 ?? Thank you in advance!

Hi @liteserver! Your order page invoices VAT even though provided with a german VAT number in the form. Is that an error?
-
Excellent, thank you @UltraVPS! I have just ordered my third service with you, always loved your swift support team (seldom needed, but always friendly & quick) and practically no issues at all since years. Please stay that way!

Seems as if they are quite a pain for people outside of Germany. This may be their way to keep those customers away. However, I am German and did never face any of these issues. I would try php-friends, but they have no plan that fits my needs.

Thank you very much, @thedp! My last BF deal (Black Pearl, 4 core, 1 TB, 32 GB, EUR 19,99) from netcup is still doing great for me and I never had to get in touch with support, so no idea about that. I cannot complain. Everything works as expected, since 12 months. I will likely get another one of their larger Root Servers…

I had that same question, so don't worry. If that is a stupid question, then we are both standing together in the idiot's corner and have fun anyway. I answered the question to myself like this: Cryptomator at least is open source: https://github.com/cryptomator So the encryption method and the system behind it are known…

Yes, this should be the deal. EUR 73,- for two years of a 1 TB HiDrive. But keep in mind: This special offer has one restriction, which is that only ONE user comes with it for free. With their normal plans, you can create a certain amount of users that all get their own private part of the Hidrive and can exchange data…

The Strato 1TB (including all protocols) Hidrive offer might be even better then: https://www.strato.de/cloud-speicher/cobi/ It's the same, in the end, since Strato belongs to Ionos and it is the exact same platform, just with different branding and plans. I use a Strato Hidrive since 3 years without noticable issues. It…

I would even go as far as saying that this is an outrage on top of an outrage on top of an outrage. Outrageous. Welcome to another episode of "Things that only happen to Cociu", Season 2. I keep my fingers crossed for him to get the situation under control as soon as possible under the given circumstances.
