I think that is more to do with your account age and so on, if I posted it would be the same. I am probably wrong, it has been so long since I wanted to post in an offer. But I know it was true in the distant past. The reality though is that WHT has long since had its day, so has forums like LET and this one to be fair,…

Years back and I am going back probably 15+ years on WHT, the forum software couldn't prevent bumping of threads, so commenting on offers was not allowed to preserve the order of the offers. The comments went into a moderation Q and rarely made it out as there were so many, I don't think they ever changed it. Hence you…

I visit both, sometimes WHT and even the occasional glance at hostedtalk. I show interest where I find something interesting to me. But the reality is you will find the same content duplicated on LET/LES. In honesty, I look more at LET than LES, probably more through habit but the carbon copy appearance pushes me away from…

I had my electrician in today as I am getting a new bathroom fitted, spoke to him about things and he is going to quote for running some cat5/6 upstairs with a switch which he will then cables to the key rooms and if needed put in a wifi box up there and into the garage. Will be interesting to see what the quote is. But I…

There comes a point when you are not supporting WordPress clients but in fact, running their website for them. I guess this is the point where SG has arrived and I sympathise. WordPress was the number one support ticket I received over the years and the number grew YoY. It really was, "can you install this", "this plugin I…

That's why I always use the CamelCamelCamel website to check the price history on anything at Amazon.
-
That is what I was thinking, just wasn't sure if these were more snake oil than a solution.

I am looking for a wifi extender for the garage, any suggestions? I put this in front of the virgin router https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B075WFL15D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It made a significant difference in reaching the corners of the house and nobody has any complaints about wifi now. It is…

Yup, simplest ideas are the best. Creates a competitive thread, people can request something, any provider can bid.
-
Careful, you are beginning to sound like me.
-
Yeah, not sure about that. Which providers do you know that are actually using Solos.io? Exactly. So they have reduced the price to pull providers in, they will go back to the original position on pricing eventually.
-
Any way to hide them from the front page? I say that because what you are going to end up with is a group of offer threads always at the top I suspect and that would be annoying?
-
I agree they took it too far, but then you are not dealing with a company anymore, it's an investor looking to maximise returns.

If cPanel had an inflation-linked increase policy nobody would be concerned about the cost today compared to 15 years ago when it was the same as it was last year before the price increase. The Plesk increases have not been that bad. Whilst a lot of the lowend providers are moving to DirectAdmin, it is to preserve the low…

I was going to make a suggestion until I saw your last offer at 50 EUR, so grabbed that, bargain to be honest.
-
I wasn't directing that at you.
-
If you can log in drop in a ticket if you can't then register again but pm me your username.

Since leaving Blesta behind my intention with the custom panel was automation over human intervention. Admittedly it is not perfect by any means and I do regularly tweak settings where I see false positive, however, in the main it does what it is supposed to do. The above is an example of where it goes wrong, apologies for…

Thanks for the mention, and apologies for not being around too much in the last couple of months, COVID has pulled me back into my banking role in a significant way and I am now having to project manage a couple of COVID related matters, I will get back to the forum when I can but looking like I am pretty much focussed on…

Done, Although I don't know where you got that information from, it is not just for a year.
-
It is an expectation now.
-
More likely sadder that the people using it most likely never donated a penny.
-
Yup, I will be putting recatchpa on, well it is on just need to pull the updates once I have completed a couple of other items.

Agreed that lifetime plans are not something worth purchasing in general, that said it depends on how you view it. If the provider is one you trust and expect to be around for a while then it may be a reasonable punt. People who view a lifetime plan as 'their lifetime' are just silly. But if you look at the cost, consider…

Terminal, not sure why anyone would need anything else? Genuine question.
-
Well, I know what I want ;)
-
Not interested in Linux desktop, thanks.
-
Oh!
-
No, I have a PC, but it's easier for me to have a look at Docker on Mac first to get familiar with it.
-
Nice. Will install Docker on the Mac today and start having a look at it to get familiar then switch over to Windows shortly and try it there.

Understood, but that other panels run in a different way does not mean DA is slower by design. For example, on my free hosting site I have services in Las Vegas, Virginia, UK, Luxembourg, Germany and Singapore. Nothing unresponsive on any of them. The animations are a PITA, I will give you that, but they can be turned off.
-
Ok, but you went from: To To Back to And then If you want to go further (How to become a level3 support tech/sysadmin) then diagnose why they are unresponsive or slow, DA is fine, if it is unresponsive then there is an issue with your servers, not DA.
