Is there anything new in fail2ban-regex now? It seems like you may have the NSA version of fail2ban.

I would try to set banaction = ufw if you are using ufw. This should be the default on Ubuntu 20.04 though. Is your ufw enabled?

I think you might need to set the bantime to 3600 instead of 60 if you are looking for a 1-hour ban. Edit: a 60 second ban explains why works, then doesn't, but I do not know why you are allowed to exceed your maxretry of 2 unless the banaction (iptables-multiport or ufw/auto) is disabled.

@Francisco I am certain you have active accounts older than this, (with some probably in this thread) but I just dug this up: Here's to another 10 years! Happy Birthday!

@foxone The original photo shows the error on /dev/sdb. Were the commands run on the proper device? :#

Mr Vyas sir, I cannot stop hearing Shaggy ft Rayvon in my head. Thank you for this gift. =) Also, I think #4 should be updown.io unless that is a completely different service.

This is seriously impressive if this is a full disk write (no caching).. which might be possible with Hetzner. Block Size | 512k (IOPS) | 1m (IOPS) ------ | --- ---- | ---- ---- Read | 3.81 GB/s (7.4k) | 4.04 GB/s (3.9k)Write | 4.02 GB/s (7.8k) | 4.31 GB/s (4.2k)Total | 7.83 GB/s (15.3k) | 8.35 GB/s (8.1k)
