@flips, @mikho Completed upgrading to centOS 8 just now. Went totally smooth..... until I run uname -sr Linux 3.10.0-957.12.2.vz7.86.2 .... What ?? kernel didn't update. Wasted half hour trying to find the issue, then it hit my mind.. openVZ. I guess I am using KVM for too long. :p Guys what to do now? How can I use…

I am running centOS 8 on production since oct. Not a single issue faced (regarding stability). I have some complaint on package support range (they moved to module system and very few packages are found as modules), but other benefits really outshined them.

I would like to help (I am already running CentOS 8 on other VM) but I am not familiar with this "strip down" process. Some Guide/Link would be great.

I use fedora often, so I think I can handle dnf issue. I know google has lots, but can you share the documentation you did follow? Thanks, man. so far, loving your server.

@mikho , I know support is limited on NAT vps, but can you look into my ticket please? So I can assume, We aren't going to get CentOS 8 template either?

Mama said, "Don't take free things from strangers." Was wondering this whole time why ain't I receiving any email, and guess what? I registered with wrong email address. :p

That NexusBytes one.... Damn <3 And, why Inception Hosting one reports so much low IO? Is it cache? raid?

I was pointing it out from "New user perspective". Not all customers would come from forums knowing mikho before. BuyVM does this branding thing too, but "FranTech" is well highlighted there, so I don't feel like paying third party there. Note: these are the things I noticed, not annoyed about.

Maybe I should have added more sarcastic tone to OP.

In my experience, my website faced more downtime with OVZ than KVM due to some external issue (like, other user facing attack or something, burst resource got took away from my process aggressively, provider forgot to monitor the node... etc) So, KVM is a must go for me now.
