+1 I think that its a big bonus, to have an admin - that is not a provider.
-
thank you for the mention. :)
-
actually its not as much as you'd think. It also adds an extra step to deploying a new server,...
-
Pretty much the same here.
-
First thing to consider is actually with your data-center options -> How far away is the data-center. Next up you have to determine your space and usage requirements. (ie how many u's of rack space , how much power and bandwidth you need) Once you have all that consider this: do you want to colo/use a dc so the hardware is…

If some well known, reputable community members offer to do it, i see no harm in it. That being said > @MS said: Nobody is ever truely neutral, but yeah, if mods get selected they should be somewhat moderate :) An interesting question to consider is: "Should users that are mods permitted to have any other roles/tags on the…

Yesterday i finished the back-end code for a "blacklist monitor" project i am working on. Currently working on the front-end. One of the follow steps is to evaulate uptime monitoring from multiple locations.
-
i set aside 5 servers for this specific offer, 2 have sold already, 3 remain at this pricing.
-
Update: 3 Remaining!

Okay Fine! You want deals? Here is a deal! So here is a dedicated server at 40 Euro/Month recurring! (online/delivered in under 24 hours) => Spec: 2x 4TB HDD (CMR) 32GB ECC RAM (DDR4) 8Core, 16 Thread Xeon D-1540 5TB Traffic @ 100mbit/s 1x ipv4 address ipmi/html5 console access => Location: Vienna/Austria (Europe) =>…

Currently preparing something nice :)

+1 Maybe drop offer-restrictions for this specific thread?
-
If a provider makes an unsustainable package or offers a product at a loss - its their own fault, not yours. (Or they may do it on purpose, to set up for a sale of a higher priced service later, but that is a strategy that i personally wouldn't do)
-
Still lists the vps with spec on the invoice. otherwise its harder to argue different vps-spec upgrades or switching to a dedicated server if they start out-growing it.
-
Even with pretty good data-center deals, and owned hardware, its guaranteed to be an interesting/viable business venture. i have done the math based on various vps configs/... that i would consider to be interesting/enjoyable for several potential target audiences.... For me personally,... * for "online" audiences/Markets…
-
signed your petition. thank you for creating it.
-
So here go some of my ramblings.... This may sound harsh. But.....by having a plan before entering business. So lets say you want to sell vps: * What is your target market/audience * How do you reach them * What is their budget * What specs do they expect at what price level. * ... Then you have the expense-side: *…

Unfortunately i am unable to help with this request at the moment. (at the time of this posting, she atoms are also sold out. right now i only have the xeon d's left over). Sorry :disappointed:
-
Since its BF and it has excellent for me so far. (only slight downside: i do feel sort of guilty for contributing to the flash sale on the other forum, without one happening here) Here we go (coupon limit = 1) MR3 D-1540 (8c,16t) 32GB ECC 2x4TB HDD 5TB@100mbit/s => 40 Euro/mo recurring (with coupon:…

go with nexus bytes or alphavps or buyvm

< humor> would it be sufficient if i paid a girl on fiverr to pretend to be your gf, and text you on a regular basis? :# < /humor>
-
damn, looks like i was too slow :(
-
The bet doesnt really involve cleaning it up. Is your /24 transferable to ripe?
-
It might be an odd one. but i am looking to buy /24 in the ripe region (Requirements are: PI Space || As "tainted"/blacklisted as possible by spam, etc.... || As cheap as possible). Me and a couple of friends have a bet going,....
-
in that case maybe @Clouvider can help.
-
I could do a for 40.5 eur/37 gbp (slightly above your budget) you'll miss out on the multithreading, but get a lot more storage... C2550 (4c,4t) 16 GB ECC RAM 4x 3TB HDD (CMR) 5TB Traffic on 100Mbit/s Port (1x IPV4) IPMI/HTML5 Console Available Monthly Contract Link:…

I was about to post i could probably do something that fits your requirements for around 35 in .eu. But honestly i think you are better off going with dacentec since .us is your location preference. (check their facebook for discount codes that get posted every now and then...
-
from personal experience it sounds great, until it stops working....
