XCloner is really stepping their game up. New website looks good and still, totally free backup&clone website: https://www.xcloner.com/category/features/

Many people probably are using JetBackup. I've also heard of some people using "rdiff".

@vyas AIO works smooth, indeed. Well, they so have the unlimited extension which removes the 512mb import limit. So odds are you can backup more than 512mb but not restore without premium version: https://servmask.com/products/unlimited-extension I still have some very old backup version of the plugin where you could edit…
-
Ah, but only for websites up to 512mb in size, right?
-
It works pretty smooth. Have you paid monthly for a commercial license though, or did you get the one-time payment and just move(d) "personal" (non-client) sites? ;)

I'm from Germany, so I guess I will if I was to offer hosting again. I have to say though, it's not getting easier. For neither party tbh. Luckily, most german provider already offer AV Verträge (what it's called here). I will, however, have to drop some potential hosts from LE forums I liked because they likely won't…

It is not afaik. It's really a pita now. Technically, and this is my understanding, it is quite clear that any third party (party aside you and your customer) that processes personal or crucial data from your client such as IP addresses, tech logs etc.. you need to sign a DPA with. So if you are hosting your shared hosting…
-
If you are e.g. reselling Hetzner or having a Dedi at Hetzner you need their DPA because they are processing personal data such as IPs for tech logs etc. At least that's my understanding. There's an english sample over at https://www.gdd.de/gdd-arbeitshilfen/praxishilfen-ds-gvo/praxishilfen-ds-gvo iirc.
-
Well, GDPR enforcement is relatively "new", I guess. It requires you to sign a DPA with any party that is processing crucial/personal data of your clients (so to speak with the Reseller/VPS Provider you base your services on). You then, also need to list such party in your privacy policy and state what they are processing.…

Pinegrow is nice and also supports Bootstrap :) Mobirise does, too (kinda). Like @Unixfy said, there's also Bootstrap studio. Didn't like it much, personally.
-
It is what it is, I guess. Thanks :)
-
Can totally relate. Glad to hear you wouldn't mind signing one in general :) Anyway, I am in no way opposed to the idea of advocating privacy, however it seems like this DPA thing, for example, is yet another pita that was not really necessary imho. I mean, most providers would already state in their Privacy Policy that…

Thanks for mentioning that, mate :) I plan on updating all the details some time in August, when exams are over :)

WP Total Cache has worked best for me :) Right now, I am not using any caching plugin though. Just HostMantis caching system.
-
That, too ;)
-
KeepSolid is dope :) See my signature for more details ;)
-
Heard not so nice things about Mullvad from another VPN Guru I trust a while back. I feel better with KeepSolid and their straight forward approach to stating what they log. Also for that price point, not gonna get it.

I ultimately decided not to buy AIO WP. For one, usage on client sites requires an extra license and, for all convenience it offers, it kinda sucks you can't extract single files from the Backup (just view them with their website tool). At least not without using some Github third party tool to extract the backup. I like…

First of: Great idea, @vyas ! I'll definitely hang out here :) Don't worry too much about giving Kinsta some SEO. They make great blog posts sometimes! Aside from my providers' daily backups, I backup my wp sites monthly using my providers' Jetbackup to upload snapshots to my Google Drive and then Backup to Koofr (since I…

Hetzner is just prem :D
-
Didnt even notice either. Wtf. Thanks for pointing out lol.
-
I bet! Does that mean my lifetime Reseller also gets an upgrade (Germany location)? :)
-
Nice I/O and IOPs limits you got there :D Glws!

@foxone How many furries were lost?
