I guess you can always try :P Could be that VPN providers are acknowleded to have another position than just regular vps providers though. Since they are known for being privacy oriented (at least on the ads). Probably also depends on the vps location. A spain court recently declined a copyright troll claim:…

Ahh.. gotcha. Yeah I was kinda overwhelmed by the many licenses, I guess.
-
Are you using this then? https://www.acronis.com/en-eu/business/backup/kvm/ Starts from 729€/year what - without wanting to downplay your services or anything - appears to be a bit costly for a service offering LE pricing. Or are you using the Personal True Image version (50-60€/year)?

I don't by what this was caused back then, however when I had a NAT VPS from @mikho I remember that angristans script for ovpn also did not work, however @Nyr script worked. Try @Nyr script :)

I mostly backup WP sites to remote storage so it's gotta be FTP/SFTP, Webdav or GDrive to be compatible with most WP Backup plugins. If I have access to JetBackup I backup remotely to GDrive (free) and then to by bigger Koofr Storage.

Great read! Thanks :)

Thanks for sharing! :)

It's on Stacksocial iirc, correct? Might be worth if you want Rosetta. Otherwhise.. Keepsolid VPN is nice and all, but I wouldnt want the other stuff in the package.

This is actually a pretty cool sumnary. Thanks! Let's also not forget the likes of ElegantThemes (Divi WordPress Theme) lifetime deals. Sure, they are developing it on-going and give "support". However, more users don't equate to much of a loss. They'd still do the same stuff. With Degoo and also 1Fichier etc I believe the…

This doesn't sound too bad actually: https://cloud.google.com/customers/degoo

Unfortunately, most of these high storage for low money are not designed to be used comfortably to avoid ppl uploading lots of content. Still they can very well be worth it. Maybe best is contact them.

Someone on the other forum bought it (quote) : I purchased a life-time 10TB plan for $99. I am now uploading my desktop backup image of 101GB. The speed is constantly around 250Mbps (it is more stable than any other cloud storage service providers I have like google, ms one drive, etc. One thing that took more than usual…

I shall be your guide.

Koofr definitely looks more trustworthy :)
-
pCloud is definitely very positive connotated afaik. I also am fine with Koofr 1TB atm)(11% usage) but for anyone else Degoo could just be fine. This doesn't sound bad either: https://help.degoo.com/support/solutions/articles/77000065516-top-secret-zero-knowledge-storage
-
I guess that's cool, too :)
-
Can't blame you. Koofr lifetime 1TB was the first lifetime storage deal I bought and I was also very reluctant. 1TB was 79$ back then. This one is 99$ for 10TB... Fact is though, Degoo has been around for a while, too now. That being said I bought lots of lifetime deals non storage related and am very happy (VPNs,…

Try ISPConfig for personal, mate ;)
-
1Fichier has been around for many years. Wouldn't assume they are going anywhere soon.

Hetzner FTW
-
If you are lucky, then yes :D
-
That's exactly how I go about LTDs. And I bought a lot of LTDs, all still going stronk :D
-
Then it can be of interest to you, I guess.
-
Keepsolid is fine :D Don't mind LTD VPN Addicts like me who have way too many VPN LTDs. On that note I got WS lifetime though. I wouldn't use it if I had to pay a sub.

The moment when 80% of these people will find out that they'd be just fine with a normal SSD and that good old E5 :) My last VPS was a NAT VPS and I could still do a lot on it. That E5 can't be so bad, really. But that LE spirit kinda got lost along the way I fear. Well, it was kept for budget prices but that's it.
-
For what it's worth Contabo also runs a Speedtest Server in St. Louis which you can select on speedtest.net :D
-
First Benchmark from the other forum: https://tinyurl.com/uuulsc7 SSD I/O will be better after contacting the support though (since by default it is restricted anti abuse). Should be in the 2xx/3xx MB/s then.

Totally agree :) If NVMe is next..oh boy!
