So far, there were no downtimes at all and there are multiple systems in place to keep it that way; or at least, quickly react to hardware failures (including uptime monitoring, reachability monitoring, automated abuse monitoring and standby equipment for quick failovers). Any view you are especially interested in? Here…

The self-service brand Alwyzon was launched just this year. While the company is already older than that, we did not publicly offer virtual servers before. Here is the initial offer with a few more details: https://talk.lowendspirit.com/discussion/1739

Yes, the discount is recurring and you should see that in the next screen too (just not in the initial screen).
-
By „per month“, do you mean the monthly equivalent or do you mean monthly payments only? Can‘t provide monthly payments, but since the above offers were yearly too, I‘ll just leave that here: 20 € per year (excl. VAT) for… ✓ 2 GB DDR4 ECC Memory ✓ 1 vCore Intel® Xeon® Processor ✓ 20 GB SSD Storage (RAID 10) ✓ 1.000 Mb/s…

Thanks for confirming the benchmark! :) And, I hope the results are to your pleasing.
-
Absolutely! Actually, quite impressive ones given the age of LES, in my opinion.
-
Looking at backlinks, LET and WHT still dominate pretty much everything else and Google still relies heavily on backlinks (although, they became very good at filtering spammy links). According to Ahrefs: 1.027.117 backlinks for WHT, 280.034 for LET and just 47.040 for LES. And, some even quite valuable ones in favour of…

Does it absolutely need to be Germany? Our servers are in Apeldoorn, NL; that's just 50km to the German border. ;) KVM Server XS: 5,40 € per quarter for… ✓ 1 GB DDR4 ECC Memory ✓ 1 vCore Intel® Xeon® Processor ✓ 10 GB SSD Storage (RAID 10) ✓ 1.000 Mb/s Up- and Downlink ✓ Powered by KVM & Proxmox ✓ 1x IPv4 + /64 IPv6…

Our KVM Server XL is 14,80 €/month for 16 GB of fast DDR4 ECC RAM. That’s 0,93 €/GB or 1,09 $/GB, and you even get a few vCores and 160 GB of SSD storage.

It might be interesting to see latency differences between those Belgian providers compared to cheaper neighbouring nations from an actual Belgian user. Latencies don't necessarily scale with air travel distance when its just about a few hundred kilometres. The ISP used for my Graz office, for example, routes pretty much…

No Ryzen included, but definitely one of the most affordable solutions: KVM Server XS: 5,40 € per quarter for… ✓ 1 GB DDR4 ECC Memory ✓ 1 vCore Intel® Xeon® Processor ✓ 10 GB SSD Storage (RAID 10) ✓ 1.000 Mb/s Up- and Downlink ✓ Powered by KVM & Proxmox ✓ 1x IPv4 + /64 IPv6 included ✓ 5 TB Monthly Unthrottled Bandwidth [[…

Thanks for sharing, Tom. The transition to "coding in the cloud" for sure is a thing, it probably just doesn't start as one would expect as 1-to-1 replacement for full-blown IDEs yet. Though, with the iPad and other tablets becoming more and more a replacement for desktop systems, I wouldn't be surprised to see more coding…

Are you referring to "Alwyzon" as a self-service VPS brand? Because that ones new, as mentioned in the initial post. My primary business - offering IT services, custom software development, websites and mobile apps to local businesses here in Graz and Vienna - was registered in its current legal form in 2016, but my…

Sure, it's already deposited to your account. Let's see what the future holds. ;)
-
@foxone Once the 5 TB limit is reached the servers uplink is throttled at 10 Mb/s. You will also receive an automated notification once you reach 80% of your traffic, giving you the option to increase the bandwidth limitation for 1,20 €/TB/month. Of course, you could also order that upfront if you wish. Do you have any…

Glad you like it. Are you referring to the voucher mentioned in the initial post? Sure, just open a ticket and I‘ll deposit the voucher directly to your account (for automatic application on next renewal or order).

From a technical perspective, you are right. But „USB-C Hub Monitor“ or just „USB-C Monitor“ seems to become the buzzword many brands go with. Just look at Dells marketing website.
-
Pretty happy with the LG one too and I wouldn‘t want to miss the feature to use the monitor as USB-C hub and charging station. The extra money for those screens is worth it if you intend to use your MacBook as a „desktop“ and still be able to take it with you sometimes.
-
@forces Sorry for not explicitly stating it for the second/quarterly coupon, but yes, both discounts are recurring ones.
-
Thanks for the feedback; but for now, the promotion is limited to the XS (1 GB RAM) package.
-
@forces Sure, the goal is to introduce you to the services and you've got a valid point there. So, here is another coupon valid for quarterly payments: 4,99 € per quarter for… ✓ 1 GB DDR4 ECC Memory ✓ 1 vCore Intel® Xeon® Processor ✓ 10 GB SSD Storage (RAID 10) ✓ 1.000 Mb/s Up- and Downlink ✓ Powered by KVM & Proxmox ✓ 1x…
-
@bdl Thank you for pointing this out. Some rate limiting routine malfunctioned; should be fixed now.
-
How about the following KVM package in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands: ✓ 1 GB DDR4 ECC Memory ✓ 1 vCore Intel® Xeon® Processor ✓ 10 GB SSD Storage (RAID 10) ✓ 1.000 Mb/s Up- and Downlink ✓ 1x IPv4 + /64 IPv6 included ✓ 5 TB Monthly Bandwidth ...for just 1,80 € per month (excl. VAT) with quarterly payment? [[ ORDER NOW ]]…

I know that‘s not exactly what you asked, but: I wouldn‘t bother creating RAID for a personal computer at all. Hard driver failures are extremely rare if you just have normal kind of usage in desktops or notebooks. As long as you keep daily backups a drive failure shouldn‘t matter much anyhow (in comparison to its…

I just gave it a try and made the scripts login on LET and LES as my user account before the crawling of the discussions. While there was only a minor increase for the LET numbers, there was an above 30% increase in the number of LES discussions: (However, the script still only counts 174 discussions for May, not 193…
-
Sorry, you are right - it's new discussions - according to Vaniallas official website, quote: "Number of new discussions that have been created for the time period" No, the script just runs as a guest and crawls through the /discussions-page. So, yeah, if there are more hidden forums on LES than on LET that might introduce…
-
Thanks for sharing the numbers as reported by Vanilla. I guess the difference might arise from me just counting new discussions, whereas Vanilla seems to be counting active discussions. Sadly, we can't compare these Vanilla numbers without knowing the same ones from LET. ;) As a big proponent of transparency and…
