Sigh. This isn't going to end well..
-
You're going to need to increase your budget..
-
Nice offers! If I needed something cheap with high resources in France I'd be all over this like a rash :-) I also feel bad for breaking your balls in your first sales thread. That was rude of me and I apologize.
-
Me too, and I giggle like a little girl when I do
-
Excellent choice sir! I was quietly curious whether or not you found a new AU home, you can't go wrong on this one.
-
Haha, to be honest, I used to think Ant was the biggest wanker in the world. It wasn't until recently we had a chat and realised we both took each other wrong and looking back, it's clear. Anthony is a good bloke :-)

It's an English word play. Some people pronounce cache as "Cash-ay", others like "Cayshe" and others like "Cash". EDIT: I left out the punchline lol.. Cash out referring to receiving money, cash in referring to err.. redeeming a deal.. Tldr; get rid of your old Intel deal and upgrade to an AMD with this promotion @seriesn…

That's definitely not what I'm saying :-) Most providers will enable it when requested. There are some technical reasons why it's good to not pass particular flags through (ranging from portability to node performance to security). I hope that clears things up :-)
-
Just to add to that, if you're running a web server with SSL (https) it will be a bit faster. Same with SSH, etc. There's a small gain in performance because instead of the CPU "manually" calculating, it passes it to AES which is a part of the CPU dedicated to encryption maths. (Simplified for a general audience).

Welcome to paradise, sir :-) How's the ping to your part of the world? I'm going out on a limb here, but I'd say it's going to be better than what your last VPS was, amirite? :-)
-
Definitely open a ticket about this :-)
-
Absolutely. This is the best Australian deal you'll find. Proper network, proper hardware, proper support. Brendan is trewq on LET. Been in business for years, owns all his shit, runs his own network, friendly support, no BS. Not the cheapest, but we're all aware by now you get what you pay for :-)
-
Q: How do you keep a fool in suspense?
-
@cybertech It's 11:15AM on Saturday the 1st of February 2020 here in Australia - I technically come from the future ;)
-
Here's a fresh bench after a ticket was raised to get the CPU flags passed through: Region: Global https://bench.monster v.1.5.0 2020-01-11 Usage : curl -LsO bench.monster/speedtest.sh; bash speedtest.sh -Global--------------------------------------------------------------------------- OS : Debian GNU/Linux 9 (64 Bit)…

It's your opinion that everything is possible. Until you can show me a working time machine, it's my opinion that your argument is null :-)

Nice! That was quick lol.. I'll pop a ticket in now, I can live with a reboot ;)
-
I'll ask here as it may be useful for others too, is it possible for the CPU flags to be passed through? CPU Model : QEMU Virtual CPU version 2.5+ CPU Cores : 1 @ 2599.998 MHz x86_64 16384 KB Cache CPU Flags : AES-NI Disabled & VM-x/AMD-V Disabled That is what /proc/cpuinfo looks like now: root@tampa:~# cat…

In my mind I saw jarhead.. "this is my rifle.."

Agreed. Looking back over it all now I can see he was desperately trying to discredit a couple of us, without evidence. That's just disgusting PR in my opinion. Personal attacks and crazy conspiracies. It's so frustrating that so many people (myself included) reported this months ago to the doc privately and was either…

Not as undesirable as potassium chloride perhaps..

Only 51ms ping to a family member's residential connection in Costa Rica, this is awesome! The best I've seen before that was about 70ms from Miami. Tampa is ideal for Latin America it seems.

I just wanted to say Hetzner. That's all folks :-)
-
FTFY :-)

I absolutely agree with you that our posts are hindered by the appearance of it being a personal attack, it seems that even an unfounded suggestion of a personal attack is enough to change the narrative. It's tragic that it took this becoming public before he took it seriously. It's even more tragic the way this is being…

I am honored by your recognition, impressed inspired by your ability to shitpost covertly, and happy that I used the oxford comma correctly in this sentence. As it was written, let it be done.
