Haha...thankfully I don't need actual bulletproof type stuff. Thanks I shall have a look

My thinking was more "damn those firefighter were on point in preventing spread"...those things are really close together

You'll need a VPN with residential proxy support
-
Another ugly hack, but you could stick a cron job into the startup with a delay to get around the dhcp and do a late mount that way
-
Planning to do self-hosted bitwarden I think. Keypass seems popular too and more FOSS but I don't quite understand their sync. (I want selfhost at home and VPN in from phone)

Recently dealt with lots of debian NFS stuff. See my notes dropped into a pastebin...forgive the its written for myself style Password is LES https://pastebin.com/4B7w9tr7 Permissions are 99% of the problems. Note the hacky group solution (ctrl-f havoc...that part) I'd suggest hardcode the IP for testing purposes to get…

I liked the hourly model for cloud services. Wouldn't mind it as an option. It does work better though in contexts where there is a lot of stop/start automation & autoscaling though Scaleway already has hourly, no?

Not in itself no, but the whole approach appeals to me in a minimalist / optimisation type of way. 1) I like that you can back it with markdown & git. For a blog specifically that kind of eternal format safety appeals. Wordpress is into databases and mystery plugins that may not be around in 3 years etc territory. 2) I…

Gatsby. The static approach will always win in an edge caching world. ...but obvious not suitable for all cases

From memory it needs to be at least 1gb so a zero isn't gonna work. 2s are painfully slow - but I think it should work. 3s are OK - have used it for a pihole. 4s are good but getting expensive I'd suggest getting a 4 though. Mostly because the 4 is substantially faster than 3 to the point where buying a 3 doesn't make much…

Totally off topic...but since we're posting M&M people I guess people will forgive me lol @Mason - can you please make the yabs iperf stuff time out faster? On any given day most of the servers seem offline and the script seems to hit & wait each like 10 times. Literally feels like 20 mins of script run time of which 19 is…

Seems like a solid deal Interesting structure. Would love to see more LES do that

Congrats! Seems like a good fit. I like the personal background here is me, kid and cat too. Genuine human. :) And same for Mikho being added. Seems like a sound choice. Little bit wary of the two head admin situation though frankly. It's better in my experience if the buck stops squarely with one person (or a triumvirate)…

Congrats & speedy recovery Ant

Are the Germany ryzens moving to here?

Pico...I'd rather get the version with wifi Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect Board Still a fair time out last I checked

^^^ the iperfs are looking impressively stable
-
Yeah pretty happy with it. Low power (10W idle), 8 core & loads of mem makes it a good always on proxmox machine for gitlab, pihole etc

Not technically a VPS. KVM VM deployed on a home server. Was just curious to see how it compares. Half of the cores assigned to VM. (PN50 Mini pc form factor zen 2 4700U / 64gig / nvme). About 500 bucks worth of gear. Unsure why AES and AMD-V is disabled. Single core sucks cause it's essentially a laptop cpu. Surprised at…
