Don't think the supplier can tell the difference? I've currently got no card loaded and its been fine for year+. They only seem to check right at the end of trial period
-
Surprised there isn't a self-hosted version of this. Like in theory text should be easier than say speech
-
They seem to get kicked out if you don't have a valid card on file at the 30 day mark (or maybe it was 90 not sure)...whatever the trial term is Don't think it is region related

Seems like two contradicting claims? Native sounding sentences by people with good command of English tend to be complex

NAS build?

I suspect the bigger risk is that these get outdated within record time. £245 for 2TB, meanwhile a 2TB NVME is $139.99 on Amazon. (note gbp vs usd). Missing redundancy of course, but to me this is looking shaky right now already never mind in 2 years. So not particularly worried about them going out of biz by offering too…

YABS anyone? Would be interesting to see how it compares to recent LXCs at same price. ~10% faster than ipv4 route. Also fun fact - google hit 40% on ipv6 today
-
willie bike sunny would all work imo
-
I suspect that would trigger a backlash. Huge chunks of people don't have ipv6 yet and would complain about it being a broken product. So better to advertise at higher price and let sophisticated users "save" from there

I personally prefer if it clearly spells out "dedicated cores" instead. But yeah if you have to label it - VDS

I guess it depends on usage case. I'm specifically interested in (ab)using functions to add more interactive content & logic to static sites. I've tested this with cold starts and its just not viable. Static page loading essentially instantly...and then a second+ passes and then the rest painting is very noticable & feels…

Thanks for the links. Yeah that was me re fly. Yes this actually started with me trying to use the redis labs stuff someone posted in the free stuff thread a day back. Redis labs doesn't have HTTP API access...so need some sort of execution env to open a connection the redis lab servers. Hence down the rabbit hole as to…

Made some progress since above post. Specifically, worked out how to deploy rust code to cloudflare workers via WASM. Not a lot of documentation out there on that so not entirely clear on how much of the execution environment restrictions that lifts vs JS. Will need to try. Interestingly Rust seems heavier than JS - at…

Kinda...I don't currently have a card loaded (either expired or removed don't recall)...and still have access to the VMs. But not free tier functions.

I'd got for cat6 if they have it on hand...likely to be similar price as 5e 7 & 8 tends to be a lot stiffer than 5/6 so is a pain to pull in

Private network via VPN mesh See also zerotier

nah just stuff like wanted to keep pc screen boxes etc

Storage space. No matter how much you have it won't be enough. I ended up hiring a storage rental place...
