Closing thread to avoid confusion.

One of my hopes for this thread was to get alternative as a google search gives you millions of hits but no real life experience of the hits. I’ve got more then a handful tips of other free and paid apps that can be used. As I have no other real use (as of now) to use WHMCS, it was a ”known ground” to start with. I am…

I had a quick run with the demo and it is powerful, with loads of features. The UI wasn’t that self-explanatory but I think one would easily learn it after some time. Will have another, deeper dive into the demo and pass judgement after that.
-
Did you see if the open source alternative had all features from Enterprise or was it equal to the free version?
-
Even at the enterprise level it looks interesting. Need to read up on this and try it out.
-
Looks very much like the Project addon but without the Project management part.

Pretty much the setup I will do. The client commits to a minimum number of hours per month and depending on that, the hourly price is decided. The hours don’t roll over each month/quarter. Meaning I get paid the minimum amount even if the client has no work needed to be done. The upside for the client is that they get…

please elaborate? It is something I'm used to and I could use the built-in invoices and support function. I'm not :) That would probably take longer to learn than the number of hours that I want to put in. I've tried toggl, which basically does what I need and currently testing clockify (as suggested in this thread) I'm…

You asked the question as it was a NAT service with me. And given the very little information provided, it is pure luck if given the correct solution. I am relaxed, as a parent of 3 kids can be. ;)
-
sounds like a Windows problem, try calling Microsoft support. What crashes? On what node? You give very little information on your problem. I will not search thru all customers servers looking for your problem.
-
Had a quick look and it it seems similar to toggl, perhaps more features compared to the free version. @InceptionHosting : they replied that the ”only” offer their 30-day money back guarantuee.

Will ask in a ticket!

And here we talk about not hosting the backups in the same DC as your live data. It saddens me to read that they have different containers (DC) and still store their customers backup in the same as the live data. https://twitter.com/olesovhcom/status/1370375564398366725?s=21

Yes

@Ympker I’ve used toggl so far for the work hours I’ve done. And already for the second customer I feel like it is ”to much” for to little effort. Especially as I can import the data from toggl to my invoice system but only the hours, not what I’ve done.

Logs? Enable debug logs and go from there. If its a OOM error (which would surprise me) or something else.

Very interesting. Requires a read and some thought. If it is possible with our community. The Disqus part was a bot of a downer.

Flagged!

No worries, as long as we keep away from profanity or namecalling. I consider this a healthy discussion with different views. :) Emphasis on the word ONE. It was not the single reason why we came up with Wordpress. I gave you another reason right below that sentence. Another thought we had was the integration with the…

Please elaborate. If you can give me, say 5 reasons why it is wrong and a couple of alternatives to Wordpress, I will give it 10 more minutes to consider. If it is about using less resources, I’m all up for publishing TXT files for you to download instead. One of the reason why Wordpress was chosen at this stage is that it…

We are getting familiar with the software used so far and I’m sure there are options to make a public roadmap of some sort. Not promising m, but will look into that alternative.
-
So do we! :) Right now we think it will help when updating the infrastructure. A ”simple” update in the Clouflare DNS will most likely be faster updated then not using it. We are open to suggestions for alternatives. Feel free to post it here in this thread or send us a message. Thanks! I’ve read your posts about Wordpress…

A VPS with Inceptionhosting. You can find the specs in a seperate thread. I can’t remember them right now.
