Vanilla API allows posting comments and creating new topics/discussions/articles. So if you want to build something extraordinary, feel free to do so. :) Check the link I posted earlier and read up on the possibilities.

Never did look into the API, only know its there. Regarding RSS, some RSS-clients can handle feeds behind a login. I used to use Tiny Tiny RSS, you could enter user/pass with that one.

As long as the recipient server actually checks the SPF. I've had clients who had these checks disabled as many of their clients had their own domains and almost never setup a SPF record for it.

You are speaking with WHMCS in mind… My 2cents is that WHMCS tried to make a generic order form for different types of hosting services. it is used to set the hostname on provisioning. And you can use it to identify the VPS when you have many instances with the same provider.
