12TB external WD for $175.... must resist!
-
Does anyone have a bench for one of these yet?
-
nice thanks
-
Sounds like fun to tinker with, but at this price the kimsufi KS-1 is a better deal even though this is on gigabit
-
Gonna try the Fire 10 HD. I've been using an iPad for so long now. Thanks for the pro tip!
-
How do the prime day prices compare to BF prices? Is it even in the same ball park?
-
Great thread. Let us know what you guys end up getting! I'm not seeing anything I need..... yet(tm)
-
Looks like it is time to move on. Farewell Scaleway!
-
This popped into my head lol
-
I've been using them for a while now. Very reliable. Never had issues with downtime and the few times where it was outside of their scope they were very prompt in notifying me ahead of time. My only complaint is the cpu on their lowend dedicated servers. I wish they offered more variety. And perhaps a 1Gbps dedi with 15TB…
-
lol ;) thank you all for the feedback! I'm all squared away now.
-
Thank you, but I'm looking for something right at or under $3 per TB
-
Need at least 6tb. Don’t care about redundancy. Just need a good connection of 1gbps. It’s cold storage use. Link for that Hetzner? Metadedi is out of date. Hetzner charging 74 for the entry SX now
-
Nice setup. You should start selling some vps branded “Masons home rack”. For $7 I’ll take a few to idle
-
You could use it as a honeypot to combat malicious online activity.
-
I like to idle them. Not as good for idle as the dedicated servers but they perform reasonably well
-
Sounds like a good move by EPIC. I hope they make some headway
-
Kudos @Neoon looks like another great project. Keep up the good work
-
-
Did you hit up @WSS yet? I think he loves this kind of work!
-
Specwise it's a dual E5-2620v3 on a 10Gbps connection with 2x240gb ssd and 16gb ram. I'm thinking something like $25/m and you get access to all the resources
-
Am I doing it rite?
-
Yes
