Like OpenVZ, it required a lot of kernel work. It still exists, but nobody cares. KVM is what most people expect in 2026.

While it is safe to purchase a 12-month VZ7 plan now, you shall plan to terminate your project by the end of your first year.
If you renew for a second year, your final 8 months will be donated to botnet for free, and the inevitable SpamHaus listing will be blamed on you.
Luckily, you would able to chargeback the renewal invoice when that happens.
