Windscribe is a solid VPN. Great price if you couldn't get their lifetime deal.
Alternative would be KeepSolid Lifetime for another solid VPN out there usually priced at 20-30$ with Discount codes on Stacksocial.

And, if I'm very happy with the service and praise it a lot, people will still suspect it of being a paid advert/article.

So to me it looks like a well marketed cost cutting. I get it, don't blame them, but "not paying for N #1"...
