To what extent does website speed matter?

According to studies, eCommerce websites in particular lose about one-fourth of their prospective customers if their load times exceed four seconds. Although I'm not sure how accurate it is, I do know that speed matters to people in general.

When determining a site's search engine rating, Google takes speed into account. You should care about speed if it matters to Google and you depend on internet traffic to keep your eCommerce business running.

I didn't use ChatGPT to write the answer, I got the information from some websites and with editing, I answered the question.
