I am not talking about "top tier" just ones that people consider "private" that really are not.

@yoursunny answered the storage attachment part of the question for you, the host nodes in the USA run hardware raid 6, it is not backed up again separately.

Even they get problematic at times, no one REALLY knows everyone, I would go as far as to say they really hardly know anyone at all, pretty simple to infultrate. I bet if someone took part in discussions periodically here for 3 months then made a post here asking for an invite if possible, someone would oblige :)

I used an iscsi target as a data-only drive for years, like as in mapping 'my documents' to it in windows, worked without issue, essentially felt local that was over the WAN on my home 80/30 connection.

20+20 = 40, I am 40, coinidence?

just multiply by 1.2 seems to work for me generally :)

60% over a 24 hour period, 100% for 1 hour.

Having taken things into consideration and due to the amount of PM/messages this thread generated with various perspectives and positive feedback I have decided to take on a few volunteer mods. They all will use the @"LES-Moderator " account and their anonymity will remain optional and at their own discretion. I have…

Well I suppose if you are using to host a single site and run a VPN for example you have burst space without 1 impacting the other. In truth that is just how it worked out ratio wise, these nodes have 24 threads vs the 8 thread nodes I was using previously so I just applied the same ratios which meant people got 4 cores…

Bragging rights? Honestly I don’t know :)
-
oh lol

Well I was looking at the plans you offer on microlxc.net, seem quite odd unless you intended to type MB instead of GB on the disk space? Not sure what the ratio is you find useable on LXC, on VZ6 for LES in the early days 8:1 on ram and 4:1 on disk worked fine without issues.
-
just to continue a conversation from the other thread in a more appropriate place, what sort of specs do you want/need to get a location exclusive to LES users started?
-
oops, pressed post before I had finished adding the offers, more to come... lol edit: offers posted.

The problem is that there are "private trackers" and then there are "private trackers", there is a big difference between a public one and a private one that simply requires registration/invite often circumvented with a donation/payment anyway and actual private ones ran by known communities. If not the latter then they…

Not currently within the vanilla platform.

You want a dedicated server in somewhere like ovh not a VPS. No VPS host is going to offer you a guaranteed 500mbit 24x7 for $7 :) to open to abuse and you have confirmed torrents.
-
Very idealistic, the bottom line is it is still using twice as many addresses and does not support everything as universally.
-
There are other issues with going less than /30 by example broadcast does not work or rather you have no broadcast domain with a 31-bit mask and as such that may impact some functionality or cause some irregularity within some networks, it also still requires 2 IP's to be allocated. I suppose /32's could be an option but…
-
I mean you can at a host node level to some degree but it may impact legitimate use traffic as it is part of the functionality of networks generally, blocking it at a guest(VPS) level won't help because the traffic has to reach you in order to be blocked. the correct way to block it is to give everyone their own /30 or…
-
I am really liking the look of this tbh, I am about 90% sure I will switch to this for LES.

It’s probably broadcast/multicast traffic.
