Yeah that's actually just a HW RAID-1 of SAS SSDs. I'm actually really forward to seeing the nvme in RAID
-
Full disclosure: The above is with a couple SAS SSDs I'm using to test out, as the NVMe drives haven't come in yet. NVMe should be faster.

Nope Correct you are. Never will be either. They are just "spry", rather than "Spry Servers". :)
-
Thanks! Here you go: https://lg.phx1.spryservers.net/ It's the Aligned Energy DC. It's a huge facility, but I don't think there are too many other "hosting" providers in there, so I'm not sure if you'd be familiar. :) We can definitely help you out with DR planning, whether it's servers, colo or just plain network storage.
-
Another thing you have to keep in mind is LICENSING. Many storage server solutions require ridiculous licensing costs. That's just for the servers/NAS themselves. Add licensing for backup and restore software, and it's a small fortune.
-
Yeah I considered that too, but I couldn't justify any cheaper really.
-
Haha, I thought about a 31.4GB storage one. Phoenix: https://lg.phx1.spryservers.net/ Dallas: https://lg.dal1.spryservers.net/
-
Eh, yeah. But to be honest, I'll probably forget to do it. :p
-
Welp we see how that business model turned out. lol
-
That's a good point, thanks
-
Well from what I've seen playing around with Solus.io, it gives the tools to directly compete with their featuresets. I may be able to get away with a minimal increase, while using EPYC, due to the large core count vs intel. And possibly just increase the base price slightly rather than core price? Just trying to get a…

Also, if you choose <$1, please provide feedback with if or how much you are willing to pay. I greatly appreciate your help with this LE market research.
-
Oh we're doing v4 benchmarks. Haha I know. Yes! Especially car headunits. Maybe even a refrigerator.
-
To be fair, no one said it had to be YABS of a VPS. :p

I'll match this giveaway after the 137th follower. (With my closest matching plan) * US (Phoenix, AZ or Dallas, TX) * KVM * 2x E5 CPU Cores * 2 GB RAM * 40 GB SSD Disk space * 2000 GB Bandwidth @ 1 Gbps * 1 x IPv4 address * 1 x /64 IPv6
-
Welcome. But did you really congratulate yourself? LOL
-
To be fair, it is a product aimed at service providers.
-
Honestly, Solus.IO seems to bring all the features that have been lacking in SolusVM, with the backing of Plesk, which let's face it makes the best web hosting control panel on the market. If you're willing to pay the premium price for it. The features this seems to bring, may just be worth the price tag. It's arguably…

ffbedf0bf3cade9ee14ce05e7d950c21 Thank you!

No problem!
-
It's a little less space than you'd like, but it's within your other parameters: Edit: I'll give you the 5GB if you place the order and then let me know. We'll call it a Valentine's promo. Will you be my Valentine? * Location: Phoenix/Dallas (US) * SSD: 2 GB * FTP Account(s) 1 * Database(s) 1 * E-mail Account(s) 5 * Plesk…
-
Well, that's the real COST of buying something so cheap.
-
If you want a little more redundancy and speed, but want the storage benefits of raid-5, go with RAID-50. (If you have enough drives)
-
LMAO. Crackback only.
-
So, someone ordered the one super crazy extreme 50% phoenix dedicated server discount and didn't pay. This code has been made available again. Get it now before it's too late!

Totally misunderstood sorry. :P I've been eying oVirt lately for VPS. It looks really flexible. Though I can't seem to get their hypervisor OS iso's to work properly.
-
Well honestly, I'll provide whatever a client wants, and I have had requests for Arch. I provide an ISO if they want to install it, but I sure as hell don't recommend it. Too many updates break stuff. I mean I use it on my laptop, because I love bleeding-edge stuff - but i'd never use it on a server.
-
Yeah that would be f-ed up. If/when that time were to come I'd just switch to another platform. If I can't host it on my own infrastructure, I don't trust it. Maybe with the exception of Service Now. I've never used them (and probably never will), but I do hear really great things about them. LOL I really don't understand…
-
LOL. And honestly, it'd be stupid as hell to run arch on a server.
