Where you at?
-
Yeah, it'll work for providers that have AS, but not for providers that just rent all their servers or don't have AS or properly SWIP'd IP space.
-
LOL, I haven't heard ASL in over 15 years. It could be written into the YABS script, but if the provider doesn't run their own network, it's gonna have the wrong provider info on it. Location data is easily wrong too. Still, OS I think would be a great idea to write into it.

Not a problem :) So the L series, is afaik the only model that has non-soldered RAM. Actually the main reason I went with it. I'm running vanilla Arch + KDE, with own custom kernel for zen3 thinkpad. (5.17 rc) There have been some hiccups, and not everything is exactly how I'd like, but running the rc kernel with the AMD…

Ty, It's a Lenovo ThinkPad L15 Gen2. I bought max CPU, min RAM and disk, then upgraded to 2x32GB 3200Mhz Kingston Fury and a 2TB EVO Plus NVMe.

This is not a Raspi, but a KHADAS VIM3, which I'm using at my house as a UniFi AP controller. I do offer RTO on request. piehasbeeneaten actually had one I RTO'd him, which he had for several years. He was trying to give it away for free on OGF, but no one wanted to pay for the colo. lol. Anyways, please contact me directly we can discuss. DM me or hmu on Discord.
-
I will ask them. Were they over on the OGF?
-
I feel like this is a really personal question here. I mean who I let in my port is my business..
-
Yes, 50% off that one as well

So they hardcoded a fbclkid into their own website?
-
We ignore netcraft complaints. They are the spammiest anti-spam company ever. We take "almost" all abuse complaints seriously. Not theirs.

I can give you a WordPress plan w/Plesk for $12/yr https://www.spryservers.net/clients/cart.php?gid=14

I highly discourage the use of encryption on nextcloud by the way. it has caused us nothing but problems. at one point it caused us to lose all our user's data. we had backups but they were useless in this scenario. it's pointless on a self hosted server anyway. encrypt with a 3rd party client side only encryption if it's…

I think you're looking for something like https://backuppc.github.io/backuppc/

I gotta say the suse team is hilarious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9bq_alk-sw

Yeah, we're both providing some servers. Initially they were going to use all baremetal. @Clouvider and I provided them some. They ended up changing their mind for the time being, and went with AWS to get out some initial builds quickly. I guess they're still using what I provided them for some internal development, and I…

If you're going to focus on shared hosting, I suggest you also offer web design. If not, you're going to seriously struggle to make ends meet.

Hostio, Oplink, ZNET. I think now they've adjusted their pricing there will be more providers that will use them. If not switch to them, at least create a new product line using them in addition to other virtualization solutions. Their pricing is lower than OnApp, VMWare or RHEV. While it still may not cut it for many…
-
Yes I agree with this. cPanel should take a page out of Plesk's book and what they did with Solus.IO. They actually took the customer complaints to heart and made a change. They not only cut their pricing in half, but the put a cap on it. Any node over 64 cores is only billed at the 64 core price.
-
Setting a constant % on it may not really be the best bet in this industry. Transit price is extremely unpredictable. Just in the last couple years prices for raw transit has shot down up to 60%. However, companies still in contracts with transit providers, unfortunately are stuck with their old prices until their…

For internal traffic: Yes worth it 100% Internet traffic: Only if you're doing colo and sharing the pipe between multiple servers or racks (IMHO) OR - if you have multiple dedicated servers, and you're announcing an IP prefix that you have routed to your VLAN. You may want 10 Gbit on the server that's acting as your…

Damn, you just missed our sale that had exactly the specs you're looking for @$9/mo w/NVMe. I'd be willing to offer a last chance one to you though. Just let me know. (Location Phoenix, AZ) https://www.spryservers.net/clients/announcements/15/Black-Friday-in-July-2020---Limited-time-NVMe-VPS-Plans.html

You could get 2 VPS, then make one a firewall - forward and filter the traffic through it.
-
Awesome, thanks @uptime

We've had an increase in larger customers, but mostly a decrease, and cancellations in the low-end and low-budget market. However, we've had an increase in shared hosting sales. I think mainly due to people having spare time to "build that website they've been meaning to build for years".
-
This is indeed who it's intended for. People that are out of work, or just want to make a bit of extra money in their free time. The language "requirements" are not requirements, but would simply make it easier for the person hired to have a larger lead pool.
-
It most definitely is here in the US. It's a 1099 contract job.

Initial plans and pricing released (Standard pricing, not special. Will have a sale when we launch. (Hopefully tonight!): (Not all are low-end prices, I'm just posting this for information only) ALL plans come with: * 1 Gbps uplink * 1 TB bandwidth * 1 IPv4 * /64 IPv6 Subnet We will be adding a flexible/scalable package in…

Tbh, not sure why it's so high either. They're HGST 12G SAS SSDs, my first time using these particular ones. I had them sitting around for awhile, and decided to use them for boot disks for this Hypervisor. (And created a small lvm volume group to play around with VMs) Though it's also a decent RAID controller. (PERC 730)
