They should tell people upfront and have them remove the backup jobs manually. Also, they don't allow you to run backup plugins of WordPress (e.g. Updraft, AIO WP...) in the TOS (probably, because they do have their own backup tool, that is JetBackup). If their backup tool gets very restricted, though, people might resort…

@SGraf and @StuderSolutions use ApisCP for their shared hosting. If you wanna try the panel in action, have a look :)
-
Damn, not liking this very much. That is, if even backups to remote locations count. This way only full account backups could be done to have it for all accounts on reseller :/

We will never know (until it's too late) ;) They manage to stay afloat somehow, and I am happy. With keepsolid since nearly 5 years?! With Ivacy also a couple years?! FastestVPN also, I think. Windscribe hast also been 3 years already? Time flies.. Ivacy has been around since 2008 or 2010 iirc. Keepsolid since 2011 iirc.…

Can't complain at all about Keepsolid performance, though. Probably many subscribers since they advertise a lot, too. Then they have SmartDNS, MonoDefense, Goals and some other apps iirc. Ivacy/FastestVPN (if we consider them resellers of PureVPN) have little to no expenses as the infrastructure (and likely also the…

Tbh, Softaculous is probably something I wouldn't want to miss these days. Got used to it, can easily create staging sites or push to live, backup and create sets of plugins that are automatically installed upon WordPress installation. That's just me, though :) Aside from that ApisCP is great and @nem is doing an amazing…

Nice one! Thanks :)

Has anyone had any experience with "Hotel Booking System"-like WordPress plugins? I know there are many out there but no first hand experience yet. My landlord in Spain asked if I could build a website for their business (they rent shared flats to people). Since I am busy now, work will likely start in August/September but…

Definitely more comfortable that way :) @vyas ahh, I remember this article, I think :P Nice one! But yeah, sticking to what works these days.
-
I never tried but at some point I stopped getting lost in comparison once I foind a solution that works well for me :P Can be quite time consuming as @Lee probably can tell (Blocksy performance testing). I'd say you won't do anything wrong using ShortPixel. The performance has been great imho and they are well established.…

They are quite awesome :) If you run out of credits and need them for inital setup of your websites, I do have some spare credits (renew monthly with the LTD). Let me know :)

Fair enough. Some way of catering to sma businesses would still be nice then. Then again, for me, Blesta is technically all I need.
-
I think a lower entry like DA's "mini" plan would definitely be a good idea for WHMCS. Happy I grabbed Blesta Owned Lifetime license a while back, though :)
-
@armandorg can help, I assume :)
-
Ah, I see :) Does not seem "slow" to me, though. Clearly they haven't seen unoptimized Divi Installs yet :P Anyway, good luck optimizing!

How is your friend's Blocksy site getting along, anyway? Performance is fine? :)

Words of wisdom :D

Haha, fair enough. Thanks for sharing, mate :) One can really spend lots of time on this :P
-
Also quite surprised about the HM result. Interesting share, thanks. Regardless, HM has a great bundle of features I grew fond of. On another note HM increased I/O limit again iirc.
-
Fair enough. I am sure you will still find someone good for the job. Just wanted to tag our communities' MVP'S just in case :) @MikePT always, mate <3
-
Basically the same for me.
-
This would probably cross out @MikePT . Not sure if @mikho works as support agent for someone else yet? MrVM would probably count, I guess...so rip. Forget what I said.
-
@mikho may be interested in this? Is Head of Support the Anthony we know @Francisco ? Also @MikePT something for you perhaps, too? Not sure if that counts as "oursourcing", though.
-
Good luck with the launch @seriesn :)
