We all know that this is not a joke, right @Falzo ;) ?
-
Indeed :) That's just great!
-
I did, but you pulled the trigger first <3

Just installed it along with LiveCanvas. As a theme I really like how Picostrap is setup. Not too many options, but everything you need imho. Clean and simple. And it is free :) Used only LiveCanvas Blocks, Picsostrap and built/imported custom Bootstrap Blocks from Pinegrow. Damn! It's been a while I achieved such scores…

Blocksy is running a Valentine's discount ( up to 30%) also for their lifetime plans: https://creativethemes.com/blocksy/ Normally I wouldn't buy such a new theme outright, but I am really considering it as I really like their free version already.

Well, PHP commands can be certainly abused, but I'd reckon the problem here is most likely that most shared hosts block shell_exec sooner than later.

Wow, thanks for the thorough and interesting reply, mate! Will read more thoroughly after I finish work :)
-
I agree with you. Mobirise has served me well btw :) > @Fritz said: You are on the righ track, I think. However, I have also often read that full-site cache with CF is discouraged from as it slows down site as opposed to selective. FWIW not using any CDN in my site rn.

I hear you. For clients I only use Divi because of lifetime and I am confident they'll be around for a while. Not much support from Divi's side but after 1-2 patches most stuff gets fixed and I put my clients on daily backup hosting plans for a reason ;) Btw. just pulled the trigger on LiveCanvas Lifetime. 99$ was too good…

Elementor's price hike seems to be quite the topic over at Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Wordpress/comments/lg5sej/elementor_increasing_plan_pricing_from_199_for/ I'd like to believe 1$/year per site on the 999 sites plan is still "fair" but I can also understand people complaining. A while back I considered creating…

There are various blog posts and articles about speed improvements like https://aaron.kr/content/code/move-wordpress-media-uploads-to-a-subdomain/ but, personally, I host them on the main domain. Just feels better, tbh.

Wow! Thanks for all the nominations, guys! Unfortunately, I have to decline, though. I still love you guys and this place though <3 I have put my reasoning and a longer response in a spoiler tag below as to not derail the thread with a long post. For those who are interested, please continue to read: TL;DR: I nominate…

I thought this was a good write-up about serving images/media from subdomain: https://www.blogbeginner.com/serve-images-from-a-subdomain/

Thanks for the thorough reply, mate :) Sounds indeed like a good pick! Gonna be interesting to see how wp changes as pagebuilders/themes are to some degree pushed out. Hope you can fix the analytics issue soon :)
-
Haha true :D Would have opted for lifetime to setup and forget haha :)
-
Thanks for the feedback? Only paid version I see is 59$/year or 259$ Lifetime https://generatepress.com/premium/ I realize there was a BF discount but maybe you were referring to another paid version alltogether? :) Sounds good though! Might have a spin :) @bikegremlin sorry, no idea about that either, mate. Maybe Google…
-
I think I need to give Generatepress a try. Was it free or payto?
-
I mean, Crunchyroll tells me I am in the US, Netflix thinks I am in the UK and Canada is only a click away with the VPN of choice :P Jk, can only offer clicks from Spain. 5$/click for seo traffic :)
-
It's good to hear from you, too, mate! Hope you and your loved ones are doing well in these times :) Take care! As for the swap allocation: Ofc it was my doing. I like messing with ppl's swap :D

Also inteteresting for fans of Material design :) https://wordpress.org/themes/material-design-google/

Nice write-up mate :) Yeah, I have cloned/migrated many sites flawlessly using the free version. At some point I was like "heck, why not give them something back for the great plugin they offer and speed up the workflow". Ended up purchasing the Unlimited Extension for a one-time fee. Can't complain. For backups I still…

Sounds interesting :) Good luck then!
-
You created a new company? Also hosting related? Did I miss smth :P Good luck!
-
Congratz! All the best :)
-
That's dope! Thanks @AnthonySmith for continuing to offer us great services :)
-
This for sure :)

WPHive is useful for reference sometimes. I use it ever so often.
-
Definitely good to see Gutenberg improving :)
-
True. Could also wpenqueue my stylesheet for HTML blocks.
-
Sounds good :) Thanks for the headsup! Gonna watch some more videos, then decide. Yesterday, I also tried to just add HTML code to WP using the Gutenberg "HTML Block" with inline CSS to see how far that can go.
-
@flips Are you still happy with LiveCanvas mate? Considering grabbing it while the discount lasts :)
-
Get some good old shared hosting for cheap at Smallweb or Nexusbytes and see how that performs first, perhaps. May be much more convenient :)
