If you really need to use that specific IP address, one method is to get it certified by Return Path https://www.validity.com/products/returnpath/certification/. You'll have to pay a one-time $200 certification fee $1000+ licence fee yearly, which in my opinion is not worth it.

One thing regarding WP security that I haven't seen anyone mentioning is to cache search results. 100 concurrent GET queries of https://yourdomain.com/?s=somerandomwords will instantly take down almost 95%+ of Wordpress websites, if search results are not cached. Implementing search result caching with WP alone might be…

Can vouch for GeneratePress (paid version). With LSCache, it scores 94% for PageSpeed mobile and 99% for PageSpeed desktop without any further optimization. I also use Hueman-pro and Newspaper for a bunch of other websites, and they are slow as hell. I'm using the script linked in my signature to automatically backup WP…

Great offer! Any chance of a coupon valid for monthly payment?

Thanks for sharing. Pixelied seems pretty handy for me.

Gandi comes to mind. They are reliable and cover lots of TLDs.

Didn't they use MarkMonitor to manage all their domains? It's really hard to believe they forget to renew a domain...

Some general ideas about optimizing DB: use NVMe, use cache, eliminate unecessary DB quries, etc. If you don't wanna read a book, a quick way is to search for the script you are using, for example, if you are using wordpress, just search "how to optimize wordpress database" and there is going to be tons of articles and…

I think AES is used in SSL encryption/decryption, but I don't think having AES flag will bring noticable difference in terms of speed. However, if you use the server to mine cryptocoins, AES flag is desperately needed..

I'd consider adding a /29 IP on it.

Wondering how to move servers between accounts? Last time I tried to submit a ticket to transfer a server between two kimsufi accounts within same region, they still didn't allow that lol
-
Just bear in mind that it's almost impossible to transfer out the domain.

Yes, very affordable CN2 in Singapore, and recurring so far (but word is that they will be increasing the price). The catch is the obvious government backdoor.
-
They don't enforece it. You can change them whatever way you like. I usually just dd an official ubuntu iso in order to get rid of those backdoors.
-
I usually just do a fresh installation using dd to get rid of those backdoors. But yes, don't put serious personal info with them.

Your account will be cancelled if you don't login to the panels every xx days; even if you do login, they can still delete your servers for no reason. You can create a new vm if your old one gets cancelled, but iirc non of my free VMs lasted more than 2 months. I appreciate their free service, but do make sure that you…
-
I've been using their services for a few months. Good thing is you get premium CN2 GIA peering with such a low price. The downside is also obvious, you get free daily backups sent to CN governments.

You need this. https://github.com/WWBN/AVideo Formerly known as YouPHPTube, it's a well developed youtube-like self-hosted open-source video platform script. EDIT: and an instruction to set up the script: https://www.linuxbabe.com/ubuntu/install-youphptube-ubuntu-18-04-server
