If you change your mind, I'd be happy to take the hosthatch bundle off your hands :))
-
They won't be free for long anyways. They're beginning to charge a monthly fee for IPV4 as well.
-
Got all my boxes, stuck on CentOS though. Reinstalls can take a week, so guess I'll attempt to live with CentOS until then.
-
Looks like I'm getting my replacement, just got an empty invoice and a new item in my client area. Seems to have a 2TB HDD as well, an upgrade from the 1TB one I had before. One down, 2 to go!
-
Agreed, they have quite a bit of goodwill from me. A week of downtime does suck but this isn't something directly in their control (CC pulling servers) and they're doing their best to get replacements and bring customers back online.
-
Currently still waiting for my ticket to get taken care of, but I feel like these new boxes (when properly integrated and ocnfigured) will end up being upgrades overall. Excited for the better network blend and (hopefully) more reliable hardware! On my CC dedis I had ~4 drive failures across 3 servers within a year. Hoping…
-
Nothing yet, my ticket did get merged though. Ended up grabbing something else in the interim. I'm sure this is a huge pain for them so I'm willing to be patient. I do hope we get replacements sooner rather than later, though.
-
I'd assume so, glad you had backups!
-
Agreed! I'm sort of surprised there isn't one already. I'll try my best to open as many tickets as possible, just for you <3 /s I'm happy to dust off my old helpdesk hat if you do need assistance, I have a feeling you aren't getting much sleep lately. Try not to burn out! Made that mistake a few times before.
-
Also open to handling a few tickets if needed.
-
At least this downtime had one good thing come out of it, new site looks great! I love the datacenter map. (EDIT) Might want to change the copyright at the bottom though :)
-
Same question here, just opened a ticket for my 3 servers related to them being down, but wondering if I need to specify that I want new servers. This sucks, but I expected CC to pull something shady so I luckily have backups :)
-
Also waiting, hoping to join you on the Miami beach! I did end up moving one of my VPS to Atlanta and the network was somewhat passable, a lot of interesting routing decisions though. the INAP locations are performing a lot better
-
Assuming https://catixs.com/

They don't run their own network at any location from what I recall so in most locations they're singlehomed but to a multihomed provider. LAX and Chicago are Psychz so I'd recommend avoiding them like the plague. I actually made a list of all their upstreams a while back: HKG: M247 Amsterdam: HostCircle (and Psychz) Los…

@servarica_hani is in Canada, not sure about DDoS protection but their network has absolutely fantastic reach to the EU. Really solid performer. I'm sure they'd be happy to get you set up with something.
-
Liteserver is fantastic, I love every service I have with them. Huge thumbs up!
-
Every time you make a new reply, you put yourself in the bottom of the ticket queue. Try to list out all your points in one message to avoid accidentally extending your wait time.
-
Maybe the world is just ending then, seems like the best explanation.
-
Send over the results of a SMART test, that's what I did.
-
Who did you ask? I asked admin@mevspace and they got it resolved, were pretty friendly too :)
-
Yep, the network seems very solid, I tend to pay attention to anyone with Comcast in their blend. Often leads to a wonderful US network.
-
Guess he moved recently then, the new LAX stuff is all under LayerHost. How's the network been?
-
The DDoS protection looks fantastic and it's one of the reasons I'm interested, seems like it really works vs Psychz's mitigation.

I could have sworn George used Global Frag/LayerHost, not Sharktech.

Also getting CF issues on the looking glass.

awesome giveaway, happy to see so many familiar faces here 🙏

I'm getting mine for around $30/month but that was on a contract. It's genuinely not a bad server, network is quite alright. I mostly have it just to say I have something with CC

We use https://github.com/thatmattlove/hyperglass and it works great, the Hybula one is nice but has no BGP functions.

Agreed, your network is quite nice and I'm sure paying Path for clean traffic doesn't do a great job in keeping costs down. The main issue I have with giving 1TB bandwidth on this sort of product is that a lot of people will use it for a backup. If I backed up my files to this VM and needed to restore within the same…
-
I feel like a storage VM should at least have 2x the bandwidth compared to the disk space, 2TB bandwidth on this plan would be a bit more attractive I think.

I feel like I'm the only person who liked Buffalo, the network improved a lot and routing was OK to the EU and west coast.
-
IKR, it'll be idling for the next 2 years but I'm glad to know it'll be a premium idler. Still sad about the lack of 10GPS, I'll miss bursting my backups on my old Virmach VPS in CC :anguished: An absolutely fantastic deal regardless!

Is the 1GBPS upgrade 30TB on 1GBPS or 1G unmetered?
