Hetzner CX21(€ 5.83) + Hetzner BX11 ( € 3.45 -upgrade when needed) = great Heck, you could, even if it is only while you are developing it, use Oracle's free 4-core ARM + 24GB RAM free offer to really crunch things & then RSYNC -> to wherever.

@JBB, cheers for the test info!

Love my canvay service! Trying to come up with a reason to snag a v6node! Haha! edit: I like the site's style, by the way -sharp and simple.

Love it.

As (production/commercial) servers, is there information about their real-world use? Is there information about their power/efficiency? I am just curious, as I have only messed with SBC ARM computers.

It seems like there are several people in the thread who are determined to poke holes in your plan. You have been courteous and professional in your replies, which speaks well to your business comportment. You have stated that there will be value-added services and/or premiums, and that is fine -it seems to have frustrated…

"simplest of simple shits" Never heard that before. I love it. Also, +1 vote for sendy.

I need that GIF of the guy eating popcorn, watching the show!

You may be surprised how little (horse)power you need for most Plex scenarios in-home. In order of ascending costs: 1. Repurpose one of your old MacBooks. Looks good. I appreciate the ping info & test files stated up front. That should be something that everyone does with their offers!

I thought the proxy/cloud closest to my location might be smart ...I assume their unlimited "internal" traffice means on any Hetzner location -as opposed to same datacenter? Looking at the cloud package: ( hetzner.com/cloud ) CPX11 ...2 vCPU (AMD) & 2GB RAM ...is that good enought for 1080p plex work? I only run plex…

This sounds like exactly what I would like to do. If I am in the USA, would it make sense to get the (relatively newly added) USA (Ashburn, VA) Cloud location?
-
This is a nice, polished service. Would be brill in the classroom!

Looks like a good deal. I signed up. Concerning the 7 free days...I get a "This service has an unpaid invoice " when I click on my LES-0 service. Is it that we pay/complete the invoice but are not charged until day 7?
-
@Advin , would you mind providing a bit more detail on this?
-
Oh, wow! Hope all is well, Mike! Thank you for your services & involvement!

I read this initially as "flex dirt enterprise." Haha! Anyhow, as someone outside of the commercial/vendor end of the industry, Virtual Metal sounds appealing.
