Oh, I know this one! It's because Jesus saves! On a more serious note, I've moved all of my backups to borgbackup. Most of my machines and VMs are backing up everyday to 3 places (mostly, my large dedi that has 2TB, so plenty of space, but also two smaller VMs where I don't back up the KS-1 that was used for everything…

Oooh nice, I just discovered you can use the wireguard kernel module with the LXC containers! I didn't even know that was possible (as in at all, not just here), I thought you had to use the userland module and /dev/net/tun, so this was a very pleasant discovery! Thanks again for this service! It's nice to play with a…

Yeah, my machine seems to have been rebooted at the same time as yours and IPv4 is available, but IPv6 is still dead. That looks like a routing setup on the node itself.
-
My machine has been unavailable for at least 4 hours now (that's when my cron scripts that copy stuff to it failed). There's no response to either IPv4 or IPv6. According to your status page, DCKVM30-EU has been offline for over 6 hours. Can we have a status update please?

Random question - why doesn't anybody who uses this billing software bother to customise it at all or even add a link so you can find out more about the company?

Just realised this was supposed to say "£200 less". I'd be very happy to get a £200 M1 Air! :)
-
M1 Air had no stupid touchbar and was £200, and so clearly the better option compared to MBP 13. The only advantage that was was having 4 USB ports instead of 2. The current MBP 14 and 16 models are substantially better than the Air, and add loads of ports that have been missing from MBP for ages, as well as being faster.

Thanks! Just signed up and I'll be using it for keeping an eye on my other services (deliberately chose furthest away from me so I get the worst case scenario). Also interested to try out an LXC-based system as I've only used KVM until now. Got to say, as well as the idea being very cool and generous, I really like the…

Are the LET signups still off limits? Actually, maybe I just misunderstood the message about "accounts created after 14th" - I interpreted that as microlxc accounts, but maybe you actually meant LET accounts, but I assumed not as they'd not be eligible in any case. Anyway, I was just asking as the option for LET is still…

Slight comment: if your window is a bit narrow, the stars in the feedback wrap and look a bit strange with 4 on one row and 1 on the next, especially when there's empty space to the left of them and you could easily get all 5 in a row.

If you have tape drives at home, it's a MUST to make your basement look like this:
-
I only have it connected intermittently for when I'm actually doing backups, but a raspberry pi plus powered external USB drive is a good solution for this, especially if you actually are only going to be plugging one or two drives in at once. I wouldn't recommend a bus-powered external USB drive though.

wg syncconf wg0 <(wg-quick strip wg0)

It doesn't look like you're trying to do GRE at all with your command lines, but I don't know this router, so I can't help much beyond that. The other way of solving this is to use wireguard on a linux host. That's easy to setup, but I guess you're trying to do everything on the router itself if you can.

I mean, it's superficially a good idea to rent out spare disk capacity, and I understand the proof requirements, etc... But it'd be an awful lot easier if they just paid in cash. The only reason for the stupid coin even existing is so the early adopters can make a bazillion coins before everyone else comes on board, and so…

Thanks, I've just logged into it. Will post a yabs shortly!

How long does the "instant provisioning" take? I ordered and paid over 3 hours ago and my order is still "in review"...
-
@CloudV I thought I'd give your VM a try! Still waiting for my order to be activated (627ce5ad58e98), but can you double my disk when you do please? :)
-
Meh, I've never needed support with either of my kimsufi machines. The KS-1 only has a 100mbit network interface, but has been ultra reliable. In almost 9 years, it's never lost power (or network that I know of). My KS-LE-1 had a few issues in initial setup when I was messing around with network interfaces and firewall…
-
KS-1 is only supposed to have 1TB disk, so you have yourself a decent one there... My KS-1 on the other hand only has 0.5TB disk and I've still not got rid of it yet!
