I am Li Bainan, an independent Android developer and the developer of Meows: SSH Monitor & Terminal.
I registered this account in April 2022, but I have not been active on LowEndSpirit, so I am effectively introducing myself to the community now.
Meows is a native Android app for monitoring and managing user-owned Linux servers and VPSes over SSH. The Android device connects directly to each server, or through a bastion host configured by the user. There is no Meows server-side agent, daemon, relay, or additional management port.
The app provides live monitoring and history, threshold and connection-state alerts, an interactive SSH terminal, Docker start, stop, restart and live logs over SSH, local and remote SSH tunnels, and network and developer tools.
Meows is sold on Google Play for US$4.99 as a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, advertising, or in-app purchase. I develop and maintain the app independently. I am not an incorporated company and do not operate a recurring hosted service.
SSH credentials are encrypted on the Android device with AES-GCM, with encryption keys managed by Android Keystore. Meows has no analytics, telemetry or advertising SDKs, and no Meows backend receives monitoring data.
