Hey LES! New here - any other girls around or is it a complete sausage fest? 😅

Hej guys & gals,

Just signed up yesterday! Quick intro: I’m Johanna, originally from the Nordics (living between family life, Nordic landscapes, and fast EVs). Tech-wise, I’ve been working in telecom, web infra, and at various hosting providers for over a decade. And throughout all those years… pretty much every single colleague of mine was a guy. Standard industry reality, I guess!

Since sysadmin, low-end VPS, and hosting communities are notoriously male-dominated, I was just casually wondering: Are there any fellow girlie hanging around here on LES, or is it really 99.9% thick-skinned dudes tinkering with 128MB NAT boxes?

No drama or big debate intended, just genuinely curious about the vibe. If you’d rather not out yourself publicly in the thread, feel free to just drop me a DM!

Cheers! ✌️
Johanna

I think there are actually a few more than most people realise, at least 3 I know of, which is 3 more than I expected, I guess 4 now.

All because of @yoursunny muscularity - his fan club is heaped with all those missing ladies.

My high school had 1200 students across all its classes, of which only 2 were girls, and both were in a different department from mine. Among all the incentives that the place gives, only a couple of dudes were fags, but they didn't know each other :(

I have a feeling most of the men on here who are former gamers were lesbians at one point.

I moved all my websites to Carrd, and cancelled all my idlers.

We're all girls because we're all LESbians.

In seriousness though, most just don't care about advertising gender and don't feel the need to correct people who refer to them as "he".

We're all nerds and the stuff between our legs doesn't really matter as much as more important things like how many idlers we have.
