Proxmox VE 7.1

Proxmox VE 7.1 (released on November 17, 2021) includes many new highlights:

  • Debian 11.1 "Bullseye" and a default Linux kernel 5.13
  • LXC 4.0, Ceph 16.2.6, QEMU 6.1, and OpenZFS 2.1
  • Updated VM wizard with defaults for Windows 11 (q35, OVMF, TPM)
  • Latest virtio drivers
  • New backup scheduler daemon for flexible scheduling options
  • Backup retention
  • Protected backups
  • Improved TFA: WebAuthn, recovery keys, multiple factors for single account
  • New container templates: Fedora, Ubuntu, Alma Linux, Rocky Linux

    Upgraded my 2 instances a couple of weeks ago and it went very smooth. Just follow the instructions. ;)

    oh no.

    (lol: seems like I accidentally updated to 7.1 without realising :) shame the Firefox console font rendering is still b0rked :( )

    Yea I will eventually. Need to sort out some backup stuff first though

    IPv6 is working fine for us. Not sure what you're talking about.

    IPv6 is working fine for us. Not sure what you're talking about.

    v6 as in proxmox version 6

    My bad.

    Seeing things more clearly now after a few hours of sleep.

    Edit: Already started using 7.1 on one of new node.
