I think it is limited to 2TB/month if that saves you from spending on idling but still...it's pretty dope.

Thanks. I give @Dedispec enough shit about the 10TB I don't even use. I'll pass.

You should try to be more understanding -- he's trying to recover from his VPS addiction ;)

    Thanks mate.

Not ok yet , hopefully sorted soon fingers crossed.

Still holding on to their schnupperspecial 2019, 2630v4

Decent geekbench4 of about 4400 (4900 when new). Recommended.

Btw are their special deals transferrable?

    I bench YABS 24/7/365 unless it's a leap year.

One of the ironies of life and shit and everything...

Php_friends had a network failure after the sale was announced...

On the other site Tim (P_f) and Avoro both posted updates, which was helpful

How does this offer compare to their regular NVMe/ Xeon Gold servers?

    https://v6node.com - Affordable IPv6 only KVMs

Different term (3 month, not 1), worse CPU and much worse i/o. Similar good network and support responsiveness. And ofc the price is lower. ;)

  • Seems quite cheap - esp with the 2 dedi cores. Depending on interpretation of the dedi part I guess...like if you cant run them 100% that's amazing value

  • Vcores but still very good. Thing is when I need more cpu than a typical decent vps gives, I want lots of cores and usually lots of disk space (like TB's). So I'm still happiest with a cheap dedi. It would be interesting to figure out some kind of product that allowed prolonged bursting at high core count but was much cheaper per month than high end cloud servers.

Bear in mind that the immediately advertised monthly prices for their regular servers are for a contract of 12 months. If you want the freedom of a contract for one month, then the monthly prices are (mostly) one euro higher.

So, for example, vServer S SSD G3 costs 7,99 € / month for a contract of 12 months and costs 8,99 € / month for a contract of one month.

Do you really get faster replies from them? My experience contacting their support has NOT been great. Waited for at least 20hrs (more or less) to get a reply from them.

My experience with their support has also been positive, but I could imagine that if one contacts them about a non-urgent issue on a weekend or holiday, then it may take them a day or more to reply.

Pretty much the only thing making the offer worth it imo. If you want it really decent, go with their G3 for +2,50€/M.

If I recall well, early last autumn, they raised the raised the prices to these, and then they reduced them by crossing out the raised prices. As far as I can remember, these prices are the raised prices from early last autumn.

I'm not really happy with the VM, it feels pretty slow overall.
Especially the IO and CPU performance.

My 3$ Hetzner Cloud VM is much faster.

You right! I made a bad decision when going with this provider. Leaving it idle until expired.
