This isn't down. If you have issues with your service please make a priority ticket, but at this point it might be best to private message me here. Private message from only @cybertech please, just in case more people are affected.

Migrations to Tokyo end up having a lot of issues and they're vastly more popular than other requests. I don't know if yours is a Tokyo request but if it is then please understand there are hundreds of requests we're trying to catch up with in Tokyo.
-
Update: all tickets with appropriately titled dedicated server migration tickets have been completed. Sorry it took so long. I did get help with these so if yours isn't completed, let me know. If your ticket is merged or titled anything else other than "Dedicated Server Migration" it's up to you but it might work to your…

Just wanted to provide you guys with a little update on what Psychz is doing. After they did what they did, they didn't want to lose our business so they decided to take it upon themselves to essentially force us to stay as their customer. We put in a notice to cancel Los Angeles, which had it's annual contract already…

Miami beach club is live. Last 200~ people left over are having their backups loaded into these nodes whether they like it or not as we couldn't get the last couple of servers up in Chicago. Everyone else has already been moved, mostly to Chicago, they're being reconfigured now. All we'll have left are the unlucky few with…

Update. For virtual servers, we've located and organized disaster recovery backups for any remaining VMs. This is about 700 or 800 of them, and it'd be for any VMs that got marked as "locked" around Wednesday not yet migrated. A small quantity of VMs had corrupt backups, I think maybe 20 of them total so for those we'll…

That'd be interesting if we allow people to request whatever they want, the only catch is we only do it when it's financially feasible. I'm sure inflation and energy costs will catch up to us eventually though so running 180W TDP in 2032 might end up costing $80 a month. Yes but are you able to handle opening a few…

Invites you to my IRC server You have been kicked from this channel

The last time I hosted our website on our own rented servers, it went very poorly. :p

Note, this is a general message about how I feel about all companies that may operate in this way and it doesn't mean I'm speaking about any one company. There will always be companies in the world that are ran by the "businessman" type, sacrificing absolutely anything, including any semblance of logic and reasoning, to…

Yeah I noticed that as well. I figured anyone can find the IP if they really want it for an attack, Cloudflare isn't very good at ensuring it doesn't leak and there's tools for finding it through various methods unless you spend a tremendous amount of time locking everything down perfectly. Even our old site was…

Let me see if I can fire up Discord. I know I'm going to have too much fun chatting with you for hours though so maybe I should first finish out some of today's tasks.

I honestly wanted to just potentially offer them to take in the customers if they didn't do everything in their power to be difficult to approach. Without getting into detail, even without them doing what they did which was insanely unprofessional to say the least, I knew it was still going to be a messy transition so I…

This was probably the single reason I went with this theme. We've been meaning to have a more "interactive" map for a few years now but never got to it. Once I'm done with the LG, it'll go in a box right below it.
-
Also aware of this, I think mobile version just uses the full size image, right? I just had the one old large logo and again, lazily used it for now.
-
The people who built the theme used a Wordpress theme editor that's gotten pretty popular. As in, they didn't really code it out and used a theme builder. Essentially, we paid for someone who just went in and added a bunch of icons and re-arranged other plugins which we could've done ourselves but more power to them.…

Dedicated servers update. We received a mixed bag of locations and specifications which will help us meet more specific requirements. I've noticed a lot of people setting their "minimum requirements" extremely high, with some people saying they want 2x1TB SSD and Ryzen processor, which is fine, but please understand that…

New website is up. There's going to be SSL issues and a lot of placeholder content on the new theme. It looks pretty generic but I figured after years of me trolling on the design and making it progressively "unique" which others may call hideous, it probably actually reached a point of hurting sales when our website was…

I remember Raindog interviewed us for his "Chia/Crypto is skyrocketing hardware pricing. The end is nigh" post but we essentially disagreed with that narrative and found it respectful that he still published our view. https://lowendbox.com/blog/industry-roundtable-the-chia-driven-hard-drive-shortage/ In his defense, I…

The last time I tried having a serious drink, something broke and I felt helpless. The other few times I guess I'm getting old but it just made me want to go to sleep after just one or two drinks and we can't have that :) Fun fact about Guinness, I had a friend come over from Ireland and nearly spit it out. Apparently our…

Skype broke itself on my main computer for a while and I haven't cared to fix it. Basically it tried doing a force update that I promptly closed out of and that might've corrupted it. I'll try to reach out soon, thanks for the offer. Of course we're not interested in infinite free labor but could probably use (paid) help.

Oh god, lol, that title is enough for me not to click it.

One major problem that caused a lot of these added issues was the fact that SVM or perhaps rather KVM virtualization in general operates in a way where several steps of reboots have to occur. When it's being done for a lot of services at once, things are bound to go wrong. We had to adjust timeouts based on each server's…

I understand what you're saying here and for this to have worked, for the most part, we would have had to invest a significant amount of time in doing a lot of that beforehand. Temporary increase in support was difficult to coordinate. It would have ended up with people receiving frustratingly bad advice. I'm still trying…

We couldn't do the usual rounds of communication given the situation. We couldn't do a lot of things we would normally ensure in terms of communication and notices. A lot of it was being directly misinterpreted/quoted to paint a false picture as well. I don't know if that makes sense but it was easy for one party to go…
-
I can't wait until I can go back to being an alcoholic. I haven't been able to have a serious drink in over 1-2 years.
-
It's a lot more difficult being ambiguous there given the hostile environment. It's easier communicating here with more like-minded individuals. @ OGF, I feel like everything would be misinterpreted right now.
-
I had to end up delaying the provisions as we had to have them re-provisioned due to it missing a key piece of information. That's been done now and we have a lot of San Jose servers so I'll be able to honor those requests now.
-
Yeah, we're not going to use OGF for a while.
-
This was already supposed to be enabled but there's so many segmentation of packages and locations that there's obviously some cases where it's not going through. I'm going to see if we can change the filter today to make it more of a free-for-all.
-
My message above was essentially what I failed to post earlier. I have some additional information to share as well. Here's some updates since then: * We've been working hard in loading in disaster recovery backups and completing any remaining virtual servers affected by yesterday's issues. * We finally set up Chicago…

First of all thank you all for the kind words. I started writing this a while ago and didn't want to spend too much time finding the right words. I read it all and definitely had a productive day as a direct result of all the positive energy. There are those days where it's very easy to just want to go to sleep for a very…

I wrote out this insane rant about them the other day, and then I realized how insane it sounded and deleted it (I think.) It was essentially a 10 paragraph huge clump of text. This was after a period of not sleeping for several days. But the shortest way I can re-iterate the rant is that it is the single piece of software…

That's actually so crushing knowing those didn't go out 5-6 hours ago.

Forced the cron through again, same status. Forcing other crons, nothing. I had to specifically force the --ProcessEmailQueue cron after forcing the --EmailCampaigns cron. They have a cron that updates the status without actually doing it, and then another cron that processes them. It might still not send but now it's…

Shows up as such on WHMCS, but checking email logs definitely doesn't show anything sent around that time. This is quite upsetting. Sending report shows as: But also shows as: Looks like we're going to have to just create individual tickets at this point, I don't know if wee can trust the email tool to re-try at this…

I'll provide a copy here, typo included. Oh man if this actually didn't send after listing as sent ... that really sucks. Because it would have been helpful.

First batch is in NYC. Second batch SJC. They're all for the most part racked, even the batches we haven't received yet, but they just need to be set up. I had this written out, maybe I forgot to post it? Around 15% are immediately available, just waiting on us to sort it out and send details. Around 15% are being worked…
-
We do have some tickets from before we sent out the emergency notice, and some people who aren't as caught up to the series of events that occurred so it's best to specifically ask for new server details and mention your requirements if any. Honestly I'm just happy that people are empathetic. That in itself makes today a…

Just throwing this out there as well: Ryzen virtual servers are not going to be affected by this matter. SolusVM and WHMCS (VPS control, billing databases) are safe as well. We're wrapping up any leftovers today and looking at disaster recovery backups if necessary. Hopefully we have done a pretty good job with Ryzen…
